Thank you for sharing your experience!!

I’m the same way, super busy work schedule and zero patience for the “game” lol. I thought about Paris as my best bet, but I’ve read stories where people get rejected and don’t get any bag. I’m a bit afraid of that ruining my whole trip.

I’m definitely worried about comments regarding a reseller bag, and I really want the whole experience if I’m putting down all that money! Sigh...guess Paris is the best way to go after all...

In the US a B35 doesn't take much of a history if you are okay with the size and weight. There is no guarantee you can secure an appointment at FSH. And even if you do, they do not grant all wishes and you may leave Paris without an orange box.

Oh really, is the B35 not as popular? It’s really the only size I’m interested in because I want to use it for work everyday with papers and laptop (I’m aware it’s very heavy...but I don’t mind too much...at least I’ll keep telling myself that haha).

I guess I might as well just go to the shop and look around, I haven’t even tried talking to an SA as I’m so intimidated by the prospect (even though I’m a regular and Chanel and LV...)

I'd advise going in the morning, on a weekday if you can. I find that the SAs at this location are some of the friendliest, least stuck up SAs I've ever encountered in an Hermes boutique worldwide. They genuinely want to find you the things that you want and aren't pushy at all. Good luck!

If you are a regular at Chanel/LV, I don't see why you will be intimidated by H. It's definitely a guessing game till you gain VIP status but you are the customer. It's your mindset - I actually still feel intimidated when I walk into a Chanel store knowing I'm just window shopping.

Yes, B35 is less popular in Asia and parts of US where asian shoppers frequent the stores (I hope it's okay for me to say this? or should I say small bags are the trend and a lot of shoppers regardless of ethnic backgrounds favor the 25/30?). Some folks say it's different in Europe but I don't really know if that's true.

Weekdays aren’t possible for working women with demanding jobs.

Thanks for the tip! Glad to know they’re friendly. Guess I’m just psyching myself out by reading all the stories of rejections.

Chanel and LV aren’t as intimidating to me because I feel like I have the “power” as a potential paying customer (not really power per se bc everyone should be nice either way, but you know what I mean). Whereas at H, there’s a different dynamic given the supply/demand of a B or K. The SAs are the gatekeepers...if that makes sense!

Just be prepared that the first few times it could sound like it's not going to happen. Being rejected at the beginning seems to be the norm for a lot of people, so it's not just you.

That makes sense. I would love to know how you manage to “build the relationship” with a busy work schedule. I never have time to set foot in the store except weekend when it’s crowded!
Actually I'm thinking you may have a better chance getting a b35 in the SF store. You will need to drive but if you can't do weekdays the difference is manageable.

AND - based on hearsay, a lot of bags are flying out the PA store over the past few Saturdays? So people with a busy work schedule do find a way to shop.

I wish these stores opened later on weekdays!! 6pm is so early, especially with traffic getting out of the office.

I do want to build a relationship, so PA would be most convenient for me. And I assume the PA store can always order/transfer something for me if I need?

I’m looking for a GP for work - there are tons online but in PA only noir and a green color. But I don’t want to purchase online since I can leverage that to build a relationship with an SA.

I was there on Saturday and saw many bags (including Bs) being shown. The SAs should be happy to transfer items in for you, they have for me on many occasions, with no pressure to buy. I did not find it took long to establish a relationship with this store- I pop by when I have time, not always to buy, sometimes just to look or chat with my SA. We do quite a bit of emailing back and forth- she'll reach out when she sees something I might like, and I let her know when I see something online or in another store that I'd like her to get for me. I think my SA at Hermes in PA is much less intimidating than my Chanel SA!

Sounds like my ideal SA relationship! Flexibility and understanding, that’s what makes me want to be loyal to a store or associate.

Ok, I’m planning a trip this weekend (sadly can’t do a weekday this week) but I’ll try and go earlier in the morning!
