right?!?!?! yesterday i had to go to the Stanford mall to pick something up and i actually timed myself (u know, for research purposes). No traffic (it was Sunday morning), it would take me 18 minutes door too door on 280.... I'm still leaning toward sticking with SF tho, just because it doesn't take me that much longer to go there and my SA told me she's not switching (even tho some SAs will be).

LOL! You are too cute. Not sure if my SA would migrate, but I think I'll stick to SF too. Vibe I get at Stanford is...let's just say 'different' when I shop especially when I carry a B or any recognizable luxury brand. Not that it will stop me from shopping or going to H once the store opens. ;)

I'm too lazy to get up to SF Union Square...and have only been into the SF Hermes once haha. (I've most of my H shopping on out of town trips). The parking situation alone always makes me cringe a little so I don't go unless I have to. Even if you don't end up switching from SF I hope to bump into you at Stanford sometime!

I'm sure you will - we go to Stanford quite often for other things (namely, free kids game at the Apple store lol).

This is so funny, I was just asking in the SF thread about parking advise!

I agree! Everyone at the store is happy for him.

Now question to the group - anyone has any intel on whether they'll have an opening party and how to score an invite?
I do believe that the invites are sent by Hermes and not by the SF store or SA's based on my past experiences. I can't wait to see what Hermes has in store for us with this new store. I go to Stanford Shopping all the time, so I can not wait for the opening!

I like to think of myself as a diehard H fan who braves freeway/city traffic and parking to get to the store. This will irradicate the weak and yielding and bestow upon me more H (sorry with the language - Little Man made me binge watch Trollhunters with him...it's pretty good...Netflix)! Point is, if H is more accessible, more competition! Hehe. ;) Let's just see how diehard I am though once Stanford store opens.

I agree with cocomlle; I'm definitely not cool enough to get an invite to an opening party.

Was at Stanford yesterday. Work is definitely in progress. But a long ways to go. Not sure how they can have an exact opening date this far in advance...
I’ll be out of town, but I would never be invited either, LOL!

Anyone up for crashing the party?! :graucho:
