Ok just for context, based on the current mall map and the leasing map info and what I could see here is what is going on from a map perspective.

Thanks for posting all of this info. Have to say that I am appalled that you were able to practically walk in to both doors. (But I am glad that you did - LOL!). They need to pick up the pace.

As a tip, often the parking behind Neiman's (near Wilkes Bashford) mysteriously has spaces because no one parks there...or the Closet Store generally has spaces (it's behind and to the left of Crate and Barrell where Nordstrom is to the right of C & B). But I hear you on the parking situation especially during the holidays or on super nice days...that's why I've been tending to just walk since I can. Hunting for parking ages me.

I was there as well yesterday - didn’t get closer but saw (I was at the Apple store across) that the space was still boarded up with no sign of Hermes. Space next door is under construction as well and it is clear it would be Burberry Cos of the signs on it.

And I don’t know if this should’ve been a post in the “Wildlife” thread but I also saw two beautifully dressed ladies walking by and lurking around the space. One was carrying what appears to be a B25 in etoupe or etain and the other K25S in BE. I didn’t get a chance to snap a pic but I’d like a nice pic job or you see this, you guys rock!!!!!

I normally park around those areas you just suggested, but since it's 1 week before Christmas. Seems like everyone and their mother is shopping at Stanford. My guess is also because Valley Fair has lost half its parking with all the construction. I would walk to Stanford if I could, but it's too far for me. I hear you about the aging thing. The SO hates it since I get all backseat driver on him when I see a spot XD

True! Another idea is to maybe try parking in downtown palo alto on the other side of El Camino (at Palo Alto Ave and Emerson) but sadly it's two hours parking these days unless you are a resident. Although I just had another inspired idea as I write this....you could buy a caltrain parking lot spot through the caltrain ticket machine!!! It too is just across El Camino...so a bit of a walk if you have a lot of packages but maybe your SO doesn't mind walking back to the car at Caltrain and then conducting a pick up. :D (or as everyone suggested to me...Uber!!)

Oh, this is so dangerous!
right?!?!?! yesterday i had to go to the Stanford mall to pick something up and i actually timed myself (u know, for research purposes). No traffic (it was Sunday morning), it would take me 18 minutes door too door on 280.... I'm still leaning toward sticking with SF tho, just because it doesn't take me that much longer to go there and my SA told me she's not switching (even tho some SAs will be).
