I wouldn’t recommend manhasset, I purchased my lindy and a few other small items scarves and ties and such and none of that connects to the overall main Hermès system and the chances of getting a holy trinity bag: birkinC Kelly, or Constance there is so slim, because they don’t order many of those. I’d go with Madison Ave cuz they get the most inventory and I’d recommend Daniel Chen Hes so warm and really knows his stuff.
You typically won’t get offered a holy trinity bag over the phone and how they do phone orders is you pay for items and just pick up same day or they ship it to you. I’d recommend starting with purchasing something you love and the mentioning your wish list, if it’s your first purchase unless is in the higher range: 10,000+ you may not be offered anything

Does anyone have an experience shopping at the Meatpacking store? I have an appt there next weekend and hoping to start building relationship with SA. Would you recommend this or just going straight to Madison? Also just I’m just starting to build a relationship, what would you say is the amount you need to spend before asking for your dream bag? On average how much did you spend before getting offered something off your wishlist? Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

I’d go to Madison, just because as flagship they get the most inventory so chances to pick up a holy trinity bag is higher. I honestly didn’t spend that much with my Sa before I was offered a Constance and exotic birkin. I didn’t take the birkin but I did take the Constance

have you built history for awhile?
No history in the Madison store. I have a history in Manhasset, Monaco, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Paris but nothing in the Madison store. I don't know how I got the offer. I've actually sworn off Hermes because I've spent several times the value of a Birkin or Kelly in Monaco during our yearly vacation trips and got nothing. Don't even get me started on all the home goods ie candle holders, cocktail shakers, tea cup sets I've purchased from the Manhasset store over the years and never got offered anything.

That’s frustrating about the other locations. Thanks for the feedback! Fingers crossed I get someone I can build a relationship with.

Everyone at MP store is extremely sweet and friendly; I have nothing but nice things to say about the staff and store. Inventory isn't as extensive as Madison but it has a very accomkodatingbfamily-like feel. All the SAs remember the regulars and when I come in, always take the time to chat, ask how I am, talk about my outfit or what's good on Netflix, and whatnot. I've also had SAs who aren't mine hook me up with new rodeos and other charms since they know that's what I'm into. I personally got a bag offer in my first ever visit but didn't bother looking due to specs (I only like mini bags and it was a B30) and have since managed to get a few B/K this year and well beyond what I expected. I definitely recommend going and getting a feel for the store - you might vibe with someone there and find yourself at the beginning of a great relationship with a SA. HTH

Totally agree with olibelli- I prefer MP over Madison 100%! The vibe is great- ALL the SAs know you, make sure to say hi, and generally all look out for you. I also am not one of the VIP people, yet I have been offered wonderful bags that they knew I would love. Madison is the flagship, and yes, certainly has more RTW, etc. but I, for one, prefer the much more friendly, downtown atmosphere that MP has, and have never been disappointed. I'll wait for that item to get to MP. Build a relationship with someone you can relate to and it all flows from there
Certainly go next weekend and have a great time! :flowers:

thanks everyone! I had two appts on sat: Madison and MP but it seems like MP may be more my vibe! I’m okay to wait a bit and understand that it may take some time to get my dream

The point has been made before, and in multiple threads- please do not mention/recommend a specific SA by name. It puts them in an extremely awkward situation. He/she may hit it off tremendously with one person and not another, and that is no reflection on them as a professional or as a person. It put undue pressure on both the SA and yourself, if you go into a relationship expecting everything to be exactly as it is with another client. Go into the relationship and let it evolve and see where it takes both of you. If it doesn't work out for either of you, you can always discuss it and/or move on. Just like in real life!
If you absolutely MUST say something about an SA, perhaps a pm to someone might be more appropriate.

Manhasset is a franchise so shouldn’t be thought of as a regular boutique. I had a similar experience in Connecticut. There were no boutiques, we didn’t like going to Madison, so we purchased from a department store in CT that had in-store franchise status with H. We purchased some home goods and leather items there. Requested a Birkin for the wife, and with no games, was flat out told that they can only buy a handful of Birkins annually from H and that my chances were slim. They even advised I go to Madison. Franchise locations have their own systems and don’t get the same amount of inventory as corporate owned boutiques. Manhasset gets a ton, but it’s still unique.

H then opened a boutique in CT so we started shopping there. Met an awesome SA and she asked why the wife’s Lindy wasn’t showing up on my purchase history. I explained and mid-sentence she said “oh, you bought it down the street, got it. Awesome, if you need anything, and I mean ANYTHING, give me a call”. Birkin purchased not long after.
