I just read the whirlwind where the OP claimed to be misunderstood by fellow TPFer after TPFer. There was nothing in OPs original post that was misinterpreted or unclear and that’s what the responders responded to. Now OP meant to state different facts that may have influenced the direction of the original post s/he should have updated with an alert. Instead we went down a rabbit hole of foolishness and clogged the thread.
Totally agreed. I am so glad that you pointed this out.

So, I should be silent about the SA's attitude? The SA is the one who gave me the timeline - not me - and keeps changing the words every time. Just being patient is the best possible answer here? I am trying to be a loyal customer, and am not into a game, but I get frustrated with how the SA plays the "game." Oh well...
It’s not up to your SA at all. When your SA gave you the timeline, this was probably the information he was given. For example, When the HAC a dos first came out, the men’s manager told me that Madison was assured of being high priority. They requested 40 units from Paris. They had a list of eager clients. Paris only sent them 3 units. My own SA checked for 30/31 bolides going back three months after I got mine from my FSh SA early last year. He said in the first quarter of 2023, the anniversary year of the 1923 bolide, Madison only got one ‘large’ 31 bolide. They got a ton of 25 and mini ones bc that is what sells. Although Hermes has done well despite market or economic constraints, Madison used their budget to purchase best sellers.

If someone insists on this attitude of game, game, game, they will never develop a trusting relationship with any SA. It may be an unpopular opinion, but Hermes is a business, not a game. The SAs would gladly sell loyal, high spending clients the bags they want if they get them. There is NOT a secret stash of B40s in the back, perhaps not even at FSH.

100% agree with @Crapples , @Daydrmer , @acrowcounted , @Bdbunny , @haute okole plus :)

Thanks, @880. [Where have you been? LOL] I was already offered Kelly 42 but I declined it because the color was not something I was interested in. My SA actually agreed with me about this decision that I should wait until I get the exact specs I really want. She does understand that it's a lot of money to spend on a bag, so she really wants me to get the one I really want. She also assured that I would get the bag with the specs I want eventually, and it is just a matter of time. So, it's me being impatient especially on this forum today (and I admit it). I will just wait until what my SA has to say. [Some people mentioned that "being silent" would imply that the bag with the different color is sold already; But, another possible interpretation is that, "Yes, I get that as a potential alternative and thanks for being flexible... but I would like to give you the best one... the one you are really looking for. Just wait a bit more..." Because that's my SA who has always been like that with my other quota bag.]

As for the B40, which is my wish this year, I will probably go with the reseller route; My SA told me that SM(s) in Madison has(have) not ordered or purchased B40 for a long time because of low demand. So, unless a special order is offered, I may have a super low chance with indefinite waiting time. It will depend on what my SA explicitly advises regarding the B40 plan. (If she advises that B40 is really difficult that the reseller route can be an option [which can be quick and may even be a lower price than the retail price], I would just go with the reseller route while I continue shopping with her in H for RTW and other items.)

Store managers left for Paris on January 4 to put in their orders in for their respective stores. If you are someone the SM and SA likes, the SM may order the larger bags with you specifically in mind. My SA says that spend is important, but the most important factor is to be kind. Patience, empathy and kindness are obvious traits that bode well for everyone, but is sadly lacking lately based on the behavior I have personally witnessed in the store this December.

Your SM is likely in Paris now. In any event, the SM’s loyalty would most likely be with their SA, unless you already have a fantastic, long term relationship with the store and SM.
Ohh is it orders for the entire year? Apologies in advance if you already explained! Do they only go to Paris once a year? Thanks!

Twice a year; essentially 6 months apart (I’m hazy on the exact date/month). Because there are two seasons (SS and AW per year). This upcoming one (beginning of year) they are going to order things for the upcoming AW season. Next time middle of the year (June? July? ish) they will be going to order for the next SS season after.

I totally agree with this. When I go to the Maison inside, I am always tying to be kind and gentle. However, on my way back home, I often felt that I got played and got frustrated. Then I put my emotions on this Forum. haha. But, seriously, I am authentic and trying to be collegial every time I interact with my SA. The problem is that my SA doesn't keep the words as promised (see here). So, I was going to ask some advice from the SM directly (including the idea of switching the SA, etc. while keeping everything low maintenance).
Your proposed strategy of approaching the leather SM (who you’ve not met before) to complain about your current SA, request a new SA, and to try to speed up when you get offered either of two really rare bags sounds like anything but low maintenance. I doubt that the SM would order a bag in your exact specs at podium just to fulfill your wishlist because you are still too much of an unknown quantity to both the SM and your SA. As others have already said, demand for large bags is extremely low so if they go ahead and order your exact specs and you change your mind and don’t buy it when it finally comes, they may be stuck with a pretty expensive bag that could take forever to sell. In addition, even if the SM placed a podium order for your specs, they have no way of knowing when the item will arrive. As others have already said on this and other threads, H HQ manufactures bags according to some schedule no one else can figure out. I was offered a non QB several years ago that took 3 years to arrive after the podium order was placed. I remember the SA telling me they had forgotten about this order and were quite surprised when it finally arrived and they looked up when the order had been placed. So if a bag in your exact specs was ordered at podium and took several years to arrive, would you still purchase the bag? You could have bought one from a reseller by then or your wishlist may have changed or you may have moved on to other brands and no longer shop at H. The SM’s job performance depends on his/her correctly gauging the store’s clientele and ordering the mix of bags and other leather goods that best meet target sales so really rare, hard to sell specs are low on the priority list of what to order at podium. Even offering you an SO could be viewed as risky because no deposits are taken for bag SOs and the customer is not obligated to buy the SO when it arrives. The store is then stuck having to try to sell a rejected SO to someone else. Rejected SOs with popular specs would sell that same day but unpopular specs could sit for a long time. And from your perspective, you have no way of knowing how long your SO would take. People have waited years for their SOs to arrive. I’ve been waiting a year and a half for an SO. My SA is certain it has not been cancelled but has no way of knowing when it will finally go into production. Of course, as @acrowcounted said, if you are unhappy with your SA for reasons not related to her inability to immediately produce the bag you want then by all means try switching to another SA who might suit you better. But switching SAs does not require the involvement of the SM.

Is anyone going to the Hermazing events in the Madison store the next two weeks ? Seems like a fun music event . Strangely I didn’t get the invite from my SA but through the Hermes online ad
I got an email from Corporate! I don't think my SA had anything to do with it since we had not spoken in a couple of weeks. (well randomly until today when he texted me about the new FJ collection and of course sent a video of the all pave diamond necklace HA!) I'm going to one of the sessions in the second week. It sounds neat, although I'm not sure how it's gonna work since it's during store hours... Conveniently I made an appointment with my SA to look at a few things before event starts. I'll definitely post pics, especially if there is yummy food!

Yes I’m going to go- I think to the final one. Not sure how long it lasts and if they are shutting the store to the public since it begins at 5? Anyway I am curious- it is my first H event!
