Thanks, audreylita. Oops, I didn't click all the way. Just looked at which locations are in Florida. Good thing I asked here first or I'd probably go directly there--don't think DH and DDs would be too impressed although that mall is very nice.

Agreed, would much rather spend the day in Bal Harbour Shops than the Miami Design District. Although this may change as MDD continues to grow.

:p

I agree about liking Bal Harbour more because of the ambiance, outdoor dining, and the SAKS and NM and many little shops on 2 floors. It is further from me but a nice place to spend a few hours and have lunch. If I'm in town I try to get there always on my BD. I have not seen the finished plans for the DD but I am sure it will be spectacular. Well I sure hope so since it is 1/2 the distance for me. My personal experience is that the boutique feels a little more inviting than it was at BH. There seems to be more SAs on the floor at any given time and the newer ones I feel are more approachable. But maybe also this forum has educated me and I no longer feel intimidated LOL. Can't wait for the opening which I don't think is until early 2015.

I plan to swing by tomorrow. There wasn't much the last time I was there but it's always hit and miss wherever you go.

Good luck and I hope you find whatever you are looking for. On a side note I am sort of on a car trip and actually stopped by PB yesterday midday. I found the rouge coral clic with GHW in pm so I made it mine. But I also saw a bamboo jige that someone else was looking at. When they didn't purchase it I asked for it and they told me it was on hold:(. The SA showed me a bamboo CDC with SHW, but I'm partial to GHW with most my CDC so I passed. My wonderful DH (sarcastic) was with me so I had very limited time so I couldn't linger to find out what else they had.
Again I hope the H gods are with you at DD today.

Hi, do you have the ref no for the rouge coral clic? Thanks.

The projected grand opening for the new free standing flagship is April 15, 2015. That should be an easy date to remember. Maybe they did that on purpose, thinking once everyone has paid their taxes they'll have money to spend at the boutique.

Was at the new H in the Miami Design District a couple of weeks ago. The surrounding area is just getting built up. Parking and restaurants are scarce. The area seems to have been a warehouse/distribution hub in the past. Railroad tracks are nearby. There are 1-2 high schools of design in the area. Not too many people on the street. There are little pockets of luxury stores but they are not clustered on the same block in a Rodeo Drive way. There's a small cluster of Piaget, Burberry, something else, and then a block or so away is a Tom Ford or Hermes. I imagine there were considerable tax incentives and low rent for stores of this caliber to give an economic boost to this area.

Hermes could have been a converted warehouse; it's flat and spacious. I heard it would be multi-level like Madison but the merchandise pretty much seemed to be all on the main level. Curiously, there is no seating to stash a DH. I guess they don't want loiterers.

Boutiques are getting spring stuff in so it's hard to say that the Miami store was full up. But there was a reasonable selection of merchandise although the scarf counter seemed a bit small.

The new boutique which will be another flagship has not opened yet. They are still in temporary digs.

I was there in the Fall and the H SAs were all excited about the new boutique which was set for this Spring, the new boutique is one of the construction sites around the corner. I went on a rainy day and it was basically like I had the place to myself which was great but also that awkward feeling in some of the boutiques as the only customer. I struggled to park and then realized there's super cheap valet everywhere so that must be what everyone does. I hope to go back next year and see it all finished!

The New H coming soon- some pics of Design District. Can't wait!

Jamberry, I love your avatar. Do you have the pic somewhere else on the forum? Yes super excited about this opening. The progress of the overall construction at the DD is fun to watch through the months. My SA now says that opening will be mid to end May. She didnt give an exact date.

I just wanted to drop a note that I shopped in the temporary store this week and it was one of my best H experiences. Really got exceptional service and was shown many great items. My SA was kind, courteous, funny and just an incredible class act.
