Ha, that gives me hope, just for the record, the SA's in Barcelona weren't that friendly at all. Could it be the Catalonian thing, though? Anyhow, thank you for the informative report, looking forward to more updates.

Indeed the Madrid shop is incredible. I believe the white Kelly has been sitting there from my last visit, as I saw that Kelly!
This shop has a LOT of bags on display, and I know they have quite a lot also on the back as I have been offered a few every now and then. This shop is a good start for anybody visiting Europe and who doesn't mind coming to Spain. Hermes is not so popular in Spain, so there is always plenty of bags available and I heard the majority of the sales are to non-spanish customers.
The SA's are always impressed by customers who know the bag name or just the color/leather names.

what an amazing post!! I can just imagine trying all on all these bags!! I would never dare to ask to try one on, I keep thinking they would expect me to buy it!! It definitly sounds like Madrid would be a great place to visit if your in trhe neighborhood and wanting to see some bag IRL!!

I used to live in Madrid (6 years!). Couple of years ago I left but I come back on shopping weekends and I ALWAYS go to Hermes and Manolo Blahnik, those are my fave shops!

The tall H SA with a beard and a super cute smile is extra eye candy to pay more visits :shame:

Might have to make a quick stop to visit friends in Madrid very soon :p

Ebruo - I just recently got my first H, a 32 Swift Kelly, and I always thought I was a birkin only girl (don't have one yet am borrowing my mothers right now for "research" :graucho:). I also thought that the Kelly was dressier and more mature. But as soon as I say that Kelly, I completely fell in love with it. I definitely use in more casually. I'm really surprised by the Swift as well. I'm rather clumsy and I thought I would ruin the leather. It's quite forgiving, the scratches practically wipe away. I think you will really love it. Definitely go for it :tup:.

Ooooh alo6, aren't you on honeymoon girlfriend?! Thank you so much for the feedback on your Kelly and particularly swift. Is it the gorgeous orange one from your NY trip pics? Totally yummy!!! I am a very clumsy girl and am thrilled to hear that swift holds up well. I think I'll go for a 35cm in BJ. Need to place my order when the list reopens next month, as I want gold hw.

Hi my first post in the H forum. E, sounds like Madrid is the place to be. I love the city ever since my first visit 5 years ago. Alas I was not into H then. Looks like a trip back there is on the cards with def a long stopover in the H store. Thanks for report. Hope to pop by here more often as I began my H journey (I just gotten my very first orange box this week, albeit a small small item). We miss you at the BV end. XO
