Hola. We just moved here in Madrid and wondering where I can take my shawls and scarves for dry cleaning? I called Hermes Salamanca, and I'm surprised to hear that they don't recommend any. Instead they collect and send them off to Paris! I'm hoping there must be decent cleaners here so that I wouldn't need to do that. Does anyone here know? Thank you.

Hello! Can anyone share what the process is for quota bags for local residents in Madrid and Barcelona? Can a wish be submitted so you are contacted when a bag in the specs comes in (like in the UK)? Or is there an expectation of pre-spend/building a relationship? Thank you!
nope, it doesn’t work like that, unfortunately. tax refund doesn’t work when you’re buying online.
I would still ask if you can do a return and repurchase. All they can say is no.
My SA allowed me to do this before I officially moved to Spain, however, I'd order items online whilst at the store. They would be received by her and then she'd apply the tax refund but on a separate receipt to the items I'd buy IRL.
Quick question to ya'll who shop at Hermes Madrid boutiques. I live in Malaga, my default store is the one in Marbella. They never do any special events (or at least I’m not invited), most of the time they run out of perfume samples, definitely no freebies and I'm wondering is it just us or is it something similar in other Spanish boutiques? I used to shop in another EU Hermes store and it was really different. So I'm trying to understand a) is it me? b) is it a store? or b) in general in Spain they have a different approach to customers.
My store in Madrid does a decent amount of events, they said invites with I'd say more advanced notice than my store in NYC, and they always give me samples. I have tons of perfume and cologne samples at this point.

Hi all, just to share my experience in 2 Madrid Hermes stores last month. The one next to four seasons, the SA who helped us was friendly and showed many options. Even created a wishlist for my friend that lives in Madrid.
However he said for online orders they cannot process the return and repurchase with VAT refund as if returned it goes back to warehouse in Paris.
I bought a 90x90 scarf, and asked for if any bags like mini Evelyne, he said they have no bags.
Next day we went to the Hermes store in Salamanca, this is a much bigger store. Unfor the SA assigned to us was not as friendly, I got a belt and a twilly and asked her about bags again the answer is they have no bags.
I think perhaps they keep the bags they have for regular clients and tourists only quality if they spend a large amount??
this SA said they get one delivery per week only, and for the wishlist it’s full and closed for this month, and they they get 20 quota bags a month… don’t know if any truth in that but sharing what I was told

I was on holiday last week and popped into the 4 Seasons store. Store wasn’t busy at all - more SAs than shoppers. It’s a small store and there wasn’t much they could offer. I took these photos and just chatted about how the store is a heritage building and therefore mosaic tiles could not be installed, talked about Galapagos, Southern Spain, Grupo Dani Garcia restaurants (went to Lobito del Mar the night prior)… but yeah, not much you we could buy or they’re willing to sell, and recommended we go to the bigger store in Salamanca (ran out of time though, next time)
