Hello!

Yesterday i visited an Hermes shop, for showing interest in a Birkin Bag.

The nice staff was very helpful. Explained that i should open a wishlist, that will work for 6 months (then, if no success, would need to refresh), and asked me the details of the wished bag.

Finally; we agreed in a Birkin 25, in classical colours (brown, grey & black), in any kind of the two leathers they do, and in any kind of hardcore.

I have no historic with the brand, just with others..

And my question is; how percent of success do you think i have?

I explained that i am a local client, that is a present for my girlfriend birthday, that not in a hurry, and that at the moment, have few bags, all others from other brands, and that would love to start with Hermes..

Thanks in advance!!
Hello! I was wondering did you get a bag through wishlist or not? Thanks in advance for your response

I’m here to see if anybody has a more recent Madrid experience than me. I’m headed there in April.

I was in Madrid last March and visited both stores. They didn’t have much of a collection of men’s RTW at the four seasons location. It was mostly accessories and SLGs. They had a beautiful display of watches and a few bags.

The Salamanca store was beautiful. The entrance had one of the best scarf displays I’ve seen at an H store. The women’s RTW was pretty large. It took up maybe 1/3 of the store. I remembered seeing some nonQBs like a printed etoile Garden Party. They had nonQBs because they asked me if I was interested in seeing any bags and I said I was only interested in B or K. Of course the answer was no. I wasn’t in the mood to buy anything. I like design and architecture and just really wanted to see the store.

When we were at the airport for our departure, there were a couple of women from Singapore in front of me in the customs line. They each had a lot of H purchases. We were asked to have our luggage open with our purchases for inspection. The women spoke a little English but enough that I was able to ask if they got anything good. One said she got a Kelly pochette (!) and the other one got a nonQB. That was exactly how she answered me. 😂. She also mentioned that she bought Hermes in Madrid the year before.

The women didn’t speak any Spanish and had a hard time communicating with the customs officers. I speak some Spanish and translated between them. The woman who got the pochette bought several other items from Hermes: RTW, accessories, and a watch. I wasn’t nosy enough to see how much the watch was.

For those interested, whatever the policy was in the past that the coveted bags are reserved only for locals did not apply to this woman. My understanding is that although Kelly pochettes are not QB, they’re very hard to get.

Not quite Madrid, but I’ll be in Malaga soon and wondering if I should make a detour to the Puerto Banus store.. does anyone know if there would be a chance of an Evelyne or a Picotin?
