Any idea how to get an appointment/invite for the grand opening? Has anyone already received invitation to the new boutique from H corporate? Thx
I’m thinking it would be based on your profile with nearby boutiques if you’re either transferring to the area, otherwise I feel like we’d have heard more about it already. Unless it’s super hush.

Hi everyone! I just stopped by the Princeton store yesterday with a friend. We went around noon and it was quite busy for a weekday! There was a mix of serious shoppers and people coming to see the store out of curiosity. We browsed for a while until an SA was free and she was wonderful to work with - very helpful and accommodating. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The store seemed very well stocked, too. Here’s video of some of the eye candy!

Some of the recent pics I took from Hermes in Short Hills, NJ. This is probably one of the least favorite stores that I stopped by in NJ, because they make clients wait outside unnecessarily. For example, only 3 client teams can enter when there are 3 SAs in the store. (No one can freely just browse without an SA... which was just odd to me...)

ETA: Another odd thing about this store was that they do not offer non-quota bags at all. The SA simply said that they don't have a bag at all, which is apparently a lie. (The other 2 stores in NJ offered me multiple non-quota bags, w/o even checking my profile. So, it is my opinion that this store was ridiculous...)

I agree that SH was not what I was hoping it to be. Long time H client with extensive purchase history over 7 years and multiple QBs in my collection. Unfortunately, my SA left my "home store", and it forced me to shop locally. Had a decent first interaction with a new SA. Purchased about $2k worth of merch, and was even asked my wishlist, but since then, my new SA is practically unresponsive or never working?

I know H is very generous with vacation time, but I don't like feeling like I need to play the game again starting at zero. I actually entered the store once and asked if my SA was working. A tall male behind the register told me no. I asked when she would be working again, he sighed huffily and told me "I don't know her schedule". (In the past, Hermes always had a list of who was working when). He was next to a short woman, and he told her "She doesn't get it" (meaning me). I am very respectful, but this haughty and diva behavior by this male SA is ridiculous. Is this the new "norm" at Hermes?

Actually, I DO get it. My money walks with me.

Omg wow! Thank you for sharing your story. I was contemplating switching to SH since I saw the store was bigger and had more selections, but I’m glad that I didn’t.

I feel like it's all smoke and mirrors. I am devoted to a particular SH Cartier SA (I purchased all my pieces through him, although their company doesn't require any sort of loyalty, but that's who I am as a person), and he said the SH Hermes is a dead end.

To be fair, AD (aka old Riverside Square Mall) was just as disappointing back in the day. I'm sure smaller stores are all the same. Oh well. More important things to be concerned about in life than being deemed "worthy" enough to re-enter the club I've been a part of for so many years.
