My Clemence experience (some of you know this story):

The only result to the bag is some slight loss of shape because it was full, and there was nowhere else for me to put my things. The leather itself is perfect and you cannot tell anything happened. it IS a black bag, but we all know it's easy enough to see damage on a black bag.
Good to hear - I've been wondering if I need to worry or not since I've been using my bag in damp/drizzling but not pouring conditions and, while the bag is fine, wasn't sure if I should be more careful.

I've been caught in fairly heavy rain with Swift too and nothing bad happened. I think most H leathers are fine - it would be kind of insane to make bags that can't get a little sprinkle on them. I understand box because it's from the days when ladies did not carry their nice bags walking around all day outside. But these are utility products too, they should survive rain.
I own nothing Epsom except an agenda that I use as a passport case, and I have never gotten it wet, so I only know what our wonderful members say about Epsom in rain.

This gives me hope that if I decide to use my Etoupe B25 as an everyday bag (until I get a black substitute), I won’t have to baby it as much as I thought I would?

I don't baby any bags except Box and my bags are fine. My Togo and Clemence bags get thoroughly wet and snowy and remain perfect.

Agreed box leather is not water friendly, I had one that got wet and blistered badly with one blister that was huge. I hit it immediately with a hair dryer to try to get the moisture out and tried to press it flat with my hand. I let it sit for about 2 weeks and amazingly it was perfect again. I was lucky my little recipe worked. But croc and gator absolutely cannot get wet. Anything else I find is really OK.

I live in humid and also rainy climate so I have only use my BBK 28, 2 or 3 times only because I am so worried after reading how fragile Box leather is. But I really like the look of Box leather especially on Kelly Sellier. I am wondering if I apply water repellent treatment as what I have read on (Docride) on my BBK, will Hermes still accept the bag for Spa in the future?

Barenia is another leather I would love to consider from H but I read conflicting info from this thread. Some said: Box, Chamonix, Barenia not good for rainy climate while 2 other members said Barenia is great? Confused [emoji53]

If anything is done to your bag that is outside of Hermes spa then they will refuse your bag for any repair. I carry H rain jackets in each of my box leather bags so if it rains I simply put it on. There are a myriad of other plastic covers you could cover your bag with and most fold up very small, I think there is a thread here where people share what they use in lieu of the H rain jacket. The beauty of box leather is of natural aging and handling. I have both new and vintage box leather bags dating back to early 60's and treat all of them the same when it comes to protection from the elements. I've seen many box leather bags that have had something done to them and they end up very shiny which I personally do not find attractive but we all love different things about these bags. You should speak with docride and see what she recommends for you personally based on your wants and needs.
