Hermes leather bracelets--worth it or not?

I had to bump this. If you could only buy one would you purchase:

1. Kelly Double Tour Bracelet in black
Or
2. Black on black enamel Clic H?

Any help would be great!! This dilemma is driving me nuts!
Ps I own a couple silk carres, twillys, ss earrings and am hoping to expand my H jewelry collection. Thanks!!!

Oh I didn't even know Clic H came in black on black enamel. I have a Clic Clac MM in this same colour combination (if black on black can be considered colours! :D ) and I wear it very often with both workwear and casual wear.

I prefer my KDTs to be coloured as the design is a bit more fun anyway and can add a great pop to my outfits.

Thanks everyone for your insights!! I had to let you all know I chose...... BOTH!! I found a thread with both stacked so beautifully that I couldn't get it out of my head- I'm sure some ladies can sympathize. They're arriving Monday- I guess I'll see how they both wear over time

To me H bracelet's are worth it as I love the look and colors of mine. Fine jewelry would be a wiser option if it was about financials, but I buy what I love and I love things that appeal to me visually

Not for me, not a fan of h bracelets. Was once thinking of getting a CDC due to all the lovely photos here in tpf but in the end, h didn't have my size & after a while, my interest dropped. Am glad cos I rather spend the $$ on real jewels at my local jewellery stores.

My mother told me to wear bangles and rings while I'm still young. She has stopped wearing bangles because she feels her 70 year old arms and wrists are too veiny and freckled and wrinkled. So I don't usually look at my things in terms of value, if anything my youth and what I can carry off at this age is priceless.

If you love it and it makes you smile and feel good then it's worth it.

+1 Agree. Well said.

Absolutely right! Wear what you want with no regrets! They are just things.

IMHO: I just started wearing my Black Matte Croc CDC PHW super often, and I'm IN LOVE with how it is looking more and more amazing the more I wear it! So: +1 for H Bracelets!

I'm not sure how I feel about this question, undoubtedly the CDC and KD are very chic and hopefully well made at their price. I have tried them on, I don't own any of those but my first 2 leather bracelets are somewhat disappointing.

I bought an Imprevisible and a Kelly Double Tour in June, the Imprevisible is not stitched together and the square corners of the strap are getting crumpled/squished and are no longer quite as square. It also seems like the white epsom is peeling a little at the corners.

This morning I noticed that my KDT is also splitting along the resin where the straps overlap/touch. I'm sure I could have this easily fixed but I only wear them once a week for these few months so I'm a bit underwhelmed. I am hard on jewelry but I take my accessories off during the day while I'm doing physical work and have not gotten them wet which is amazing since I'm a florist.

I guess I have mixed feelings, I might wear them in the next time I go to a boutique and see what they say. At $850 and $550 I'm surprised.

That's unfortunate news indeed. I would also be disappointed if my H leather bracelets were not holding up. So far I have a Fetiche and another I don't know the name of...Capucine on one side and white epsom on the other. Both seem to be doing very well.

I was also hesitant to go down the slippery slope of leather bracelets at first and only bought H clic enamels because I was afraid I would get water stains all over my bracelets when I washed my hands. Luckily, the water seems to wipe right off and my bracelets still look as good as new. So I would have to say, I do think the leather bracelets are worth it!
