There are some decent deals on preloved box leather Ks if so inclined. You just have to be persistent and on the prowl.

I have both Kelly 28 black PHW retourne and Chanel 225, 226. Kelly is way more practical for my needs and I love the top handle of Kelly. In fact, I want to get rid of my reissue 226. I find reissue 225 better for cross body but will only fit essentials.

Any thoughts on this color, it's called Rose Pourpre? I like the bright colors of Hermes...but not sure if I should go for a more neutral color like SpicyTuna13 had sugestedsince this will be my 1 only purchase and I would like it to go with many clothing color options. I feel it does add a pop to things...

A bright pop of color like rose poupre or H orange can function as a high contrast bright neutral:

it can be worn against: blue, grey, black, beige, taupe, green, bittersweet brown; and patterns. (Possibly yellow tones for a complimentary impressionist look)

just depends on how you style it :biggrin:

IMO, bc of all the choices you laid out, I think you’re pretty flexible. Why not just keep looking and buy the bag that you fall in love with. It’s not always a decision to be made with the head. Sometimes the heart knows when it sees the perfect one. Once you find something, just make sure you aren’t settling and then go forward with no regrets! It will be your first one, not the only one Lol.

I have to second this statement with an asterisk or two or three.

You think you’ll be happy with just one….but after your first purchase, you will be HIGHLY LIKELY looking for another. The quality and feel of H bags are that undeniable.

I remember telling my SA I only wanted 1 Birkin (B35 Etoupe GHW) when I first started….she laughed and said “sure, sure”. Here I am, 8 Bs and 4 Ks later. Sigh.

Many thanks again......yes, I am a pretty flexible person on most things. I am also one who does her research no matter what it is...if I am going to purchase one I will make sure there will be no regrets

I haven't had a chance to go back online to check other color options that might have come up. I do know that I can't seem to let the bright rose poupre color out of my thoughts. I also did see a purple one as well that is very pretty...then again I am one that I would need to see it in person as it could change my mind. I've always liked the H orange, I actually have the double wrap Hermes watch band that color and I love it!

That is SO true....I unfortunately will most likely be that way too. As I remember saying that same statement for my BV bags and especially true for the Cabat which I could not resist the 2nd one.....

In a way, it kind of take the pressure off to think it’s your first, not your only :D
