2023 Update

I am Viet and I travel back and forth pretty often. If anyone wants to shop in Hermes Viet Nam HCMC store. Prepare to spend 50k pre-spend for Birkin or Kelly. Non-quota bags are 1:1 ratio. The selection I would say is limited and the system is broken. They told me if I buy a 50k watch, they will sell me the birkin in the same day! It didn't sit well w me because if I were a client accumulating my points there, I wouldn't be happy since Big Spender can cut the waiting queue. Also, they judges how you dress and whether or not you have an Hermes item (especially bags) on you. First time I came in with my bottega, they kept telling me any Birkin or Kelly will be 50k pre-spend and did not even care to show me other items. The second time I came with my mom (she has her croc kelly) and I brought my birkin 30 (bought from the states) with me. And they immediately took me to the back room and show me multiple birkin 25 and kelly 25, sellier and whatnot. How this store runs is completely like a jungle, unlike my home store in the states. I don't recommend you shop here if your goal is to get a bag offer. Personally, I wouldn't even spend my money here.

When you went in to the store for the 2nd time wearing your Birkin, did the SA ask you if you were looking for anything or did they bring you in to the back room to show you the bags?
I’m intending to head to HCM for a couple of days and heard from others that the store in Union Square outrightly tells you the pre-spend required in order to be offered a QB.
Do you have any advice?

they remember me from the first time I came in. They told me from the first visit that the prespend is 1 billion VND (=50k USD) but they said that with the intention of discouraging me. But the second time, I came back with Hermes bags, they asked if I am interested and then took me to the back room, show me some birkin and kelly that they have. Then they told me if I spend 1 billion VND on a watch (that they were trying to get rid of) they will get me an a la carte order if I don’t like any of the bag they have.

In my opinion, if you are trying to get QB from this store it will be very frustrating. For QB you are also competing with influencers and celebrities who shop on a lower prespend because Hermes Vietnam favors them. You will also be competing with reseller, who makes deals (they spend more but they get the limited edition bags like Kelly Disorder, Birkin Cargo) with SA in Viet Nam. It might sound insane, but I have friends who are a reseller and influencer in Viet Nam, they definitely shop on a different system than me in that store. So it’s not like Hermes VN reward their customer by being loyal to the brand, all they want is the spend. Their preference rank are Fine Jewelry, Watches, Home Decors, Ready to Wear, everything else.

But if you are trying to get non-quota bag, they do 1:1 ratio and you can get it in the same day with no wait (if they have stock, most of the time they do). I usually go to them to get non QB bag, more straight forward and less wait.

But if you have 70k laying around, you can definitely get the Birkin or Kelly, same day visit. Remember to make a deal with them, ask them specifically if they will give you the bag same day! Pick the color and the size you want, have them put it out front so the minute you meet ur prespend, you take home the bag. I know sometimes they say yes, sometimes no depends on the manager’s mood or their sales this month. Let me know if you have any luck!!!

I have been setting my eyes on the Kelly 61 Diamond bracelet but have been resisting the temptation to purchase one.
My dilemma right now is:
1) should I go to the Union Square branch and see if they do have the bracelet and if they do, ask if they have any B/K and if I am able to purchase one of my specs if I were to purchase the bracelet there; or
2) I will be going back to Paris in May next year - so should I hold off first and get the fine jewelry from Paris instead.

If you are going to buy fine jewelry, I think you should make a deal with Hermes Union Square! I think they can get you a B25 Gold on gold. They usually have the neutral tones here. Mauve Pale, I don’t know if they will have this color. If you are going to paris and score a leather appoinment, get another Birkin or Kelly!! Lemme know how it goes, I hope you will successfully get your dream bag ❤️

Can you please let us know your experience? I’m debating heading to Vietnam this fall to see if I can get a Kelly. I don’t mind a pre-spend. At this point, the US game is hard and unpredictable. I rather be told upfront a pre-spend then keep on investing with no light at the end of the tunnel lolll.

Rough lol. It honestly depends on your SA. In the US, they won’t tell you a pre-spend number. The pre-spend varies a lot. Some people say they got a QB with 1:1 or less but that’s because they have a really good relationship with their SA. Some have 2:1 or 4:1 and only got 1 non-quota bags. Very unpredictable.

It has gotten a lot harder these days, but I find that non-quota bags are easy to get. I have been offered lindys, picotins, constances in the past 5 months waiting for my quota dream bag to come. My SA told me B25 is difficult nowadays but K28 & B30 can be easier. What quota bag are you currently looking for? I am asking for a Kelly Picto but I don't think it is going to happen haha >.<

Omg I’m so jealous! I really would like a Kelly 25. Been with SA since March and spend about $1k a month (sometimes more) since then. No offers on any bags, yet a friend of mine was able to get a Herbag offer and she has no contact with her SA since the first time she met her and only spent $500. I’m happy for my friend but I’m starting to doubt whether I should continue with my SA since others have easily gotten non-quota bag offers. Debating now putting my money towards Hermes abroad.

I did which is what made me concerned about my relationship with her. I thought it was good but when I went in with my friend to get her bag, my SA saw me and asked if I wanted a Herbag too so she can update on my wishlist. So she didn’t do it when I initial asked a few months ago. I did post this in the other group forum. Some people have told me it’s ok and they have experienced a similar situation where they have invested more in their SA with no bags, so I should try and hold on for a bit longer. A few told me to move onto someone else or try overseas since non-quotas I can easily get especially with how much I’m already spending.

Oh no! My friend has a different SA from me who works in the same store. My SA just happened to be there is when my friend picked up her bag. I don’t think my SA is forgetful, but I’m starting to doubt that the relationship is as strong as I thought before. And I don’t know if it’s good for me to continue investing with my SA when I can be putting money elsewhere like overseas.
