I don't believe you need an appointment to shop at the store but you may need to line up outside the store depends on how busy they are.
I definitely would say try your luck at the YVR shop. I always have the impression that they have better stock than the local store.
I can't recall if I see a Herbag on display but it's not a quota bag and should not be that difficult to get. If you have the time just drop by and ask if they have one. Good luck!

Thank you for the prompt reply!

As I mentioned, I’m brand new when it comes to shopping at Hermes stores…now, should I choose to go down that orange slippery road :roflmfao: would you say it’s better to buy it here at my local store so I can build a relationship? And if I did purchase at an out-of-town store, will my spending be on file across Hermes internationally?

Ok, so silly me thought if I got lucky and score one at YVR I can save taxes but I guess once I come home they will just get me and my tax money then since it didn’t technically leave the country…LOL

The bag purchase won't count towards a quota bag but maybe in the process you will find a good SA that you want to build a relationship with. If you just want this one bag, just pop to the local store and ask you may get lucky. Also check out the h.com website and they do have stock of herbag 31 from time to time. You do have to act fast whenever you see one though.

Don't have Intel on tax so can't give you insight on that. This H journey is definitely a slippery slope...

Hi everyone, new to Hermes here and just have couple questions if you can so kindly help a gal out…

I’m in search of a Herbag 31 Noir with GHW and just wondering if anyone knows it’s in stock recently (I believe it isn’t a quota bag?)

and do I need an appointment to go shop at the store?

I will also be leaving the country soon so was thinking the possibility of getting it at the YVR store if it’s possible at all otherwise I guess I’ll try my luck in Vegas but duties will probably be brutal…

TIA!

I was offered a black one in August, I think it becomes available from time to time. It may be good to have an SA to keep an eye out for you. Good luck!

Can I ask how much is the herbag?

I’ve never shopped at Hermes before and am really intimidated to go in the store… I’m hoping to get a herbag 31 or Lindy 26 or mini Lindy. If I go in randomly, do you think theres a chance for me to get one of these 3 bags?

Sorry for this long post. I went in the Hermes store a couple of months back trying to see if they have a Herbag in stock. I also wanted to look at SLGs. I’ve never bought anything from Hermes. I lined up and got in a few mins. I was told to sit and wait and an SA will come find me to assist me. I was with another customer waiting. An SA came up and talked to the other girl asking if she’s been helped. The girl said she was waiting on a specific SA. So I looked at the SA and was waiting for her to ask me the same question, but she didn’t even look my way and just left. Another SA did the exact same thing — she only talked to the girl beside me, ignored me and left. I was going to say something but I was intimidated that there might be some customer hierarchy I didn’t know about. Then the girl beside me met her SA shortly after.

45mins pass by and I see new customers being helped who all came after me in the line. I thought these people must have had an appointment.

Then the SA who I spoke with at the door who told me to sit and wait eventually found me and apologized saying it was a misunderstanding and that I should’ve been helped right away. She was nice; But I’ve been sitting there in a visible spot and nobody bothered. The seating area was visible from the first floor and the second floor so I don’t understand why I was missed! All the other SAs who were helping other customers walked past me, made eye contact, but didn’t even try to get me helped. I felt terrible!!

She assigned me to an SA and I asked about Herbags. She said they didn’t have any in stock. But for the life of me, I can see there was a Herbag backpack and a big Herbag on display! I called her out and said “you have those?” But those were not the ones I was looking for anyway. I wanted the size 31. I was really thrown off that she would say they didn’t have them when I clearly have eyes and saw the display from the long time I was waiting there. Was she thinking I didn’t know what the Herbag looked like?

She gave me her contact to email her the specs of the Herbag I wanted. They said they will get some in October. So I just bought an SLG; and as I was leaving, I saw a sign that says: weekdays customers can make appointments and weekends are all first come first serve walk ins. It was a Saturday :-| I felt like a fool! I also never got a response back or anything to my email.

The experience was very unpleasant and intimidating. I felt bad afterwards. I felt mistreated in some way. It took me a couple of days to get over it. I’ve shopped at other luxury brands and even though some customer experiences were not that great, this one was beyond terrible. Needless to say my H journey has ended even before it began. I felt heartbroken but Atleast my wallet won’t be LOL. Thanks for reading.

thank you for sharing your story, I know a few months ago when they started taking walk-ins the stores have been busy, SA’s over worked and the low inventory didn’t help.

i understand the experience was not the greatest, i would suggest not to end your journey due to one bad experience.
I would encourage you to book and appointment and have that one on one experience with the SA and see if you two are able to connect.
I’ll also suggest to open to other items as well so the SA doesn’t feel you are just here for the bag.
From what I have experienced that they do have bags in the back, SA want to see that you are loyal to the brand before they offer it you. They have no issues selling any bags thus they aren’t in a rush.

Thank you for the kind advice! I will probably try again another time when I’ve mustered up the courage to go back as I was eyeing on some shoes and possibly a cute twilly too lol. An appointment for sure.

so glad I found this thread - there’s def some great info/ people here to speak about the brand. Thanks!

you are welcome, November and December are much better for inventory as they try to push as much stock out for Christmas. I would recommend booking an appointment prior to going tho.

Just wondering if any of the forum users here got the mini lindy from the website this afternoon... I saw 4 of them today: gold, etoupe, rose sakura and yellow. Spotted them around 1:10 pm PST but had to rush to a meeting! Of course, after my meeting, they're all gone LOL I'm just curious how much time you have when you spot these.

No didn't get any of them... but I previously bought a mini roulis on the website before. We are talking about seconds we have to make the purchase once they are online. It's very very difficult to buy one online.
