Do you guys visit the store more frequently to make small(er) purchases or make fewer visits with big purchases? I was planning to start my journey next year but it’s discouraging to hear how high the pre-spend seems to be going :(

I text my SA what i’m looking for she sources them out for me! Some items takes 2-3 months to come depending on where they came from and then I usually book an appointment to pick it up. I mostly walk out with more stuff haha

wow 2-3 months? It sounds kind of challenging to just browse and shop there. How‘s their stock on RTW? One will have to try them on first, so how would you shop their rtw if they don’t have much in stock?

Popular RTW pieces go fast (depending on your size). Generally my SA tells me to know my size and she will save the items for me when they arrive in the store. If you’re looking for big ticket RTW (their nice coats and jackets), I think they don’t go as fast.

Oh ok thanks! I don’t have any SA right now so hopefully once covid is over, I can just walk in and take a look around the store to see what I like… I am interested in their rtw but will have to see them in person. ;)

Rtw you can see in person or ask your SA to send you pics. Shoes and other home decor items you can look online and see what you like. If they don’t have it she can source it from Paris, that takes 2-3 months and Ofcourse if u don’t like it in person you can return it

Woa it’s nice to hear that they go out of their ways to get the items for you! Thank you so much for your replies! Yeah I’m excited to get some nice items from the store and hopefully get my dream bag in the process as well!! Competitiveness in Van store scares me to be honest but I will try to be positive and just enjoy the process ha ha ha :graucho:

It will be interesting to see if and when they decide to open up the store; atm everything is by appointment only, and H (along with other luxury brands ie. Dior, LV) seems to be making money hand over fist with this strategy. The reason being that clients who make an appointment generally will spend and usually do not browse thereby eliminating all visitors who are there just to take a look.

i was at a little over 30k before my offer. and the 30k does not include tax nor small leather goods so I agree completely with @ally2225 above. and yes 1 bag a year too! more like 1.5 years a bag...
Wow; that seems a bit high for an initial spend. I would have to agree with @shiningb3b3 that it should not be that high. I've been shopping at the Van boutique for a bunch of years and have been offered a few bags. I'm honestly shocked after reading of your experience about reaching quota. Hopefully your spend was considerably less for successive bag offers.

I heard that they stopped providing this service since last year (possibly due to pandemic). I tried to ask sa if they could help to order/transfer from another store or from Europe late last year. It didn't seem like they offered this service at that moment. It'd good to know the world wide search is available again now. Could someone please kindly confirm? Thanks a lot.
