Anyone dropped their Hermes teacup/saucer to the ground before? Recently I bought teacup + saucer as gift for a friend and she was nervous using it out of fear she might drop it because it is expensive. so I wonder does it immediately shatter to pieces if drop to ground.......

They most definitely break and chip with use / if you are not careful, just like other porcelain would. I have had that happen. It’s not like they are magic, unfortunately!

Some YouTuber said she dropped her mug on the floor and the handle broke off but she was able to glue it back together. The cup didn’t shatter.

Does anyone know if the Hermes story change tray is discontinued ? I want one but have a feeling it’s a past season and will be hard to find. But one of the SA at the store told me it’s still in production

Something fell out of my cupboard and by total bad luck my Balcon du Guadalquivir mug was right underneath, and the falling object completely sheared the handle off clean. I was cautioned against using glue because (a) this is an item used to consume food/drink and the best (i.e. strongest) porcelain glues should not be used for such products (even if the glue is on the handle and not on the main body); and (b) if the glue stopped working over time, the potential mess of spilling tea/coffee everywhere would be worse than the cost of a new mug, should a breakage happen.

Of course, obtaining a replacement mug on short notice is not so easy with Hermes as it is with other brands, but I am willing to wait to avoid the issues above.

I have this change tray and LOVE it! I was able to purchase it in-store from my SA last year. While I see that it is still available on the US website, I'm not sure where you are located:

Why don't you ask your SA for it?

I heard from my SA that they discontinued it because they are having problems sourcing one of the material to make it. If they ever could source it again or find a replacement material, it might come back. I didn't buy any of the cuter tea or coffee cups, but have the mugs and pretty much everything else that I have wanted except for the soufflé dishes.

I certainly do hope that they will resume making it at some point and I could buy some of the tea cups.
I heard something similar too . keeping fingers crossed as this psttern is my absolute favorite!
