Wow, that's great! Did you hint to your SA that you would purchase 1:1 if they had a B/K for you?

no, I feel uncomfortable doing that. I really feel uncomfortable for some reason pushing for one. I buy things I like and want - and in doing so, spent 1:1. I never asked if they had something for me. When I left, I just asked her to contact us should more goods come in that were neutral toned since I like neutrals

and she just contacted you that she has birkin to offer? Thats nice :))

Do you guys happen to know if SA can receive gifts in this location?
Probably not ideal to give gifts. I don’t know, I think I read somewhere and it does make sense, you don’t want them to think it’s a bribe or something. It’s truly a nice genuine gesture, but better to be on the safe side.

I’m heading to Honolulu, Maui and big island in July.

I’ve been trying to get a Kelly 25 or 28 for a couple years now. I don’t have any Hermès boutiques near me. The closest store is about 2+ hours away. So, it’s difficult for me to est a constant H relationship with the SA and I’m not being offered any K bags (which is completely understandable).

Is it possible to walk into a H store in Hawaii and be offered a bag though? Or is it the same concept with other H stores?;) & if possible, any boutiques that have better luck with walk ins than others?

Thanks!!!

You’re going to have a hard time walking into any store, other than Paris, and walking out with a small Kelly on the first visit these days. Hawaii is a little more willing to sell to a new customer within a few days of their first visit but it will still take significant prespend (~$15k+) and will likely be a gamble on a call back before you leave to another island. Your best bet is to pick your closest store and visit and then have a mostly phone order relationship while being willing to drive there a couple of times a year, especially if a bag offer turns up. Good luck.

2 hours away to an H store is not that bad IMO. A visit every 2 months or so should be fine. And agreed to the other comment, to connect to an SA, get their cell or email and do phone orders if you can’t make it to store. Build that relationship and wishlist from there on. Goodluck!

It's a gamble. I know of someone that is there now and was offered a k28 gold after 4k spend. You just never know.

A week's stay at the Royal Hawaiian to enjoy some surf, sand and sea (pandemic and the weather just did us in) ... thinking of having a look at the H boutique. Always looking for something special but nothing in particular... pls PM me if you know of a nice SA. Also, best to "book and appt"?
