Just jumping in here regarding the mini K and KP.. KP doesn't have the option for a strap, could that be the main difference?

That being said, your mini K is my dream bag! I LOVE that colour and fingers crossed they have one for me when I go in December!! Congratulations!

They recently changed the naming for KP and mini K and I'm still not getting used to it, lol. And it created a bit of confusion when I was in Hawaii as well. SA thought bag coming in shipment was a what they used to call mini K, now renamed K20. I initially decided to not get it, as I already own two. And what I really hoped to get this time was either a K25 or KP.

But it turned out what they were getting was a KP, now renamed to mini K, so I had to get it.

My SA says December is good time to visit. Waikiki has been doing very well last few years and supposedly even better than Madison. SA said because of this fact, Paris sends them very good inventory and even more during the holidays. And probably due to mostly Asian clientele, they have better selections of small sizes compared to other stores in US or Europe. My sis got her mini K, urm, K20, from Waikiki about a year ago from Waikiki and I got that gris asphalt during last Christmas. I think the chance of you getting one in December is pretty good.

ETA : They were originally scheduled to reopen at old location in November but now it is delayed to May of next year.

Oh I see! Thanks so much for clearing that up!

I’ve always thought of them as KP, k20/ mini k ii, and k25. So confusing, eh?

So happy to hear that you scored your beauty in December! I haven’t visited in years but I’m still hopeful. I’m happy to save an prespend a bit as long as it’s not too crazy. I guess it’s all about luck to a certain point still...

@toiletduck is correct on the difference between the difference of the Mini Kelly II and the KP. The bag you purchased in Epsom Gris Asphalte with phw is called the Mini Kelly II mini officially (check your receipt) that comes with a strap and is smaller than the Kelly Pochette, also known as Mini Kelly pochette amongst some SA. It is not referred to as Kelly 20. :shrugs: :confused1: In short, there's Mini Kelly (that we know as KP) and Mini Kelly II (which is the one you bought).

They first said they got a mini Kelly, but then it turned out it was a KP. So with that and having read in this forum they are changing the names, I assumed they were doing it now. It was my first time getting a KP, so when box says Mini Kelly, I again, assumed the name change was effective. But I guess from what you are saying KPs were always tagged Mini Kelly in the past? Oh, why couldn't they just put pochette on the box instead? Thanks for clearing that up.

Was just at the Waikiki store- I was only looking at scarves. Sadly, no samourais cw 06, but they did have 4 other CWs.
Also, for those of you looking for twillies- they had 3 trays overflowing with them!
Did see a couple of ladies trying on small bolides, and one black her bag.

^^ thanks so much, I really have my heart set on a red bag so I may have to hold off. Is it worth calling the store or going in each day when I'm there? Or is that kind of annoying? There is no H near me at home so it's a rare chance for me to be near one.

Definitely try each day. I would go in the first day of your trip and just be honest with them. If they don't have one in stock, ask if they get regular deliveries and if one might come in before day X when you leave. As long as you're kind and respectful, they should be more than happy to help you.

As long as they have one in stock, they will sell it to you. I'm not sure there is a red in heavy production right now though so it's the luck of the draw. They'll probably have blue or pink though.
What are my chances of purchasing a PM Evelyne in red with no prior U.S. buying history?
