Not RileyGirl, but I was just at the Hermes located at the Ala Moana Center and they have plenty of "interesting" stores since it's like a huge shopping center with all the stores that you'd want -- i.e. Chanel, LV, Nordies, Neiman Marcus...etc. I also took two pics of the window display since I'm a fan of Evelynes.

Hermes Windows Around the World thread

Sorry I'm not help with the hotels around that area, but I did see that they had shuttles that will take you to/from Waikiki area. There were plenty of Japanese tourists there to fill that demand. :smile1:

The Prince Hotel Waikiki is EASY walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping center, where the Ala Moana Hermes is. But the Prince is not walking distance to the Royal Hawaiian (waikiki) Hermes. Any Waikiki hotel is walking distance to the Royal Hawaiian (Waikiki) location of H.

Have fun!!!

ETA: Both stores have good inventory, the Wakiki Hermes is a regular store, not an airport type store, so you should definitely visit both locations, both have lovely SAs and plenty of other shops and diversions nearby.

Jedimaster--I guess everything is relative because I consider any hotel in Waikiki pretty much in walking distance of the Ala Moana AND the Waikiki Boutique. But I lived in Spain where people pretty much walk everywhere and don't own cars, so that's my perspective. My family often stays in Waikiki for fun and we walk from one end of the strip to the other. I'd say that the Hilton Hawaiian Village would be the hotel that's probably right in the middle distance-wise between Ala Moana and Waikiki--Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. I consider AM my "home" base but I shop at the Waikiki store just as much. I have excellent SAs and service at both boutiques. I've visited both a lot lately and there's always a Birkin, HAC, or Kelly on display. This past week there was a Ciel 30 cm Birkin in Swift. Gorgeous!!! IMHO, the Waikiki store tends to have a better selection of accessories (leather bracelets, enamel, horn) and the Ala Moana store has a better selection of small leather goods. Both have a great stock of bags.

You can't go wrong with either and both Waikiki and AM have all the big names in luxe in close distance.

hi jedimaster,

I live in Hawaii (just moved back here), and you can pretty much stay at almost any hotel in waikiki and it's pretty near/accessible to both hermes stores (both the one on Kalakaua Avenue and Ala Moana Shopping Center). My recommendation for a hotel would definitely be the Halekulani. :) Both Hermes stores are located near a lot of other interesting stores. I love Ala Moana though! The SAs at Ala Moana are really friendly and all I can say is that they have absolutely great service. They make you feel like your family and are just so sweet! I love Jaime, Ed, and Angela. Hope you have a great business trip/vacation;).

Thank you for this. A woman that I work with who lives in the area also recommended the Halekulani - as did the lady that answered the phone when I called the Hermes Wakiki store, so I think that I will try there first for a reservation. Its a working trip but I still should have about a morning to investigate, at least the Royal Hawaiian Center. Oh boy!

Jedi--Chanellove gave you great advice, the Halekulani is a gorgeous hotel. It is right near some of my favorite places: Nobus Restaurant, Tiffany, Louis Vuitton, Hermes. Also very near by are all the other big houses: Chanel, Prada, Dior, etc. As far as Hermes Waikiki, two stories, nice associates, great inventory. Enjoy!!
