Got stuck at the connecting city due to flight cancellation. But look what I picked up from the Hermes airport store! Finally, I found the perfect color that I have been looking for for months. Some quick mod shots before heading to the airport again. Fingers crossed I can fly out today!

I recently tried on both 06 and 09 cw of the Orto Botanico Shawl, but ended up leaving with just the 06 (blue). I still loved the look of the 09 (pink/turquoise) but wasn't sure if I would wear it enough since I only really wear black/white/gray/navy+blues. My daily style is casual.

Would love some input from scarf enthusiasts and experts on whether I should also get the 09 🤭 or I should just wait for more designs to come. Attached pics for reference!

I am not sure what you have for 140’s already in collection, but if you don’t have a blue then I really love the blue orto with over 09. I have 09 and I know it would be worn less than my blue 140’s and I am similarly casual styling like you. Hope this helps!

This is my first 140 shawl. Your reasoning makes sense, the 09 is beautiful but I definitely don't need two of the same design. There will be other 140 shawls down the line. I appreciate you taking the time to reply! 😄

if you think you are getting other shawls in the future, I would suggest 09 because this color combo is less common ( as compared to the blue one)—you probably also noticed that people have shown photo comparisons of some of the color ways with other shawls they already have. But I do not remember anyone showing something similar to 09

They are so comfy and warm, I hope you will love it!

The blue is a perfect, classic, choice and I am sure it will be very versatile.

The 09 is very pretty too, and I can see why you are so tempted. When I am unsure if a cw would match my wardrobe, I usually order it online, to be able to test at home with all my outfits, or I try it virtually with a wardrobe app.

You could also ask yourself how much you like the design (is it like, love or mad love) and if there are any other designs you want to add soon.

I personally try to hold off new purchases for a few weeks now, because usually around mid December, a lot of the spring summer collection will be online, and I want to see those first.

However, the 09 might be sold out by then… If this design and cw really appeals, then I personally believe it makes sense to buy another cw. I bought my first shawls back in 2022 and loved a few of the designs so much… I tried to be reasonable and only bought one cw of each. And in hindsight, I should have bought more cw, because the two seasons after that I did not found a design a loved as much… But it might be different for you of course.
