I had the same experience at the Crystals boutique last week. SA even asked a different SA and she didn’t know anything about it either. I gave the SA the style number and she searched the tablet and said none of the LV stores had stock in this design but to “check back”. I was so bummed because I could’ve purchased online sight unseen, but figured since I’d be at the boutique I’d just wait. Now I am back to stalking the website for a restock of the CW I want

La Vallée arrived today instead of next week.
I like the colors a lot and as @Ladybaga mentioned, I don’t have anything like this among my scarves. The colors are harmonious and earthy to me which is a nice counterpoint to the design. It’s a bit heavy on the orange.

So, on Saturday I “did a thing”, as our dear @bunnycat would say. Two things in fact. Like others here, I have been obsessing about Vallee since the very first sneak preview pics at the end of June. This was the one silk this season that was a ‘must have’ for me and, like @DrTr, I knew that the 01 pink and purple confection was the one for me. These colours are right in my wheelhouse (purple has always been my favourite colour), and the colourway overall is just so perfect for the 80’s iconography that it was impossible to resist.

I put my name down months ago and got the call last week. Made the trip in on Saturday to pick up - SO excited! My lovely SA had put aside both colourways they received for me - 01 and 02 (already modelled beautifully by our dear @Ladybaga). When I got there, I tried the purple, which was instant love: DH and lovely SA agreed! My surprise was that they had just received, and put on hold for me, the green 06. I have very little green in my wardrobe and my SA knows it’s not something I gravitate towards. She said the moment she saw it, she knew it would be perfect for me as it matched my eyes. I was worried this would be too grassy green, based on the web pictures, but it has gorgeous blue and turquoise tones that make it a surprisingly stunning silk. And yes, she was right. DH insisted this one come home with us too.

Okay, I’ve rambled on enough in my excitement and we’ve had lots of great pics and thoughts shared already, so I’ll just get to it. Both of these will be put aside for future gifts, but I was able to take some quick mod shots today to share with our wonderful community here. Hopefully, they help with some decisions, as so many of you have helped me. And, without trying to convince anyone, I am home, was wearing jeans and a simple white sweater, and these were quick throw-ons with no effort made to style them. I love bright colours and contrasts, and this really is a ”throw and go”, wear-anywhere prospect for me. I cannot say enough how much I ADORE these!

One last thought for anyone who is worried about the brightness of the colour: it’s a very saturated scarf, and the reverse side is actually a very convincing softer version of the design. An ”unintentional double-face” as it were (apologies to whoever coined this descriptor, it is escaping me in this moment and the credit should go to that person). Both sides are lovely. I’ve captured a couple of pics to show this below.

Still no 🦄 on the EU sites, but I did manage to order cw 01 en 06 through the Paris flagship boutique.

They are indeed very pretty, very detailed and very saturated. I find them really easy to tie too, now matter how you put them on, the design and colors look really nice... Really effortless, if not for the colors, who are a bit loud.

Both are also different from the colors I own already.. The pink and purple is rather loud and a bit cool. The green seems a bit warmer. I do not own any green scarves and I never wear green, but I really like how the green one enhances my green eyes...

I would also love to try the orange one (cw02) but had no luck in finding one yet...

For the green cw, Urban Decay 24 liner in Junkie is an amazing, bright match. Alternatively, Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal liner in Olive is a stunning mat option.

I bought this one quite early but there are try-on photos on the thread also quite accurate (post #866 on July 10 for reference). It is one of my absolute favorite DF scarves ever!!!

I love this one. It is cool toned yes, it is icy even, but to me it is perfect, with a strong vibe. I can totally see me wearing this when I want to make a statement

The 02 is the happiest in my opinion I think I will wear it a lot in spring. The blue is the easiest to style in my wardrobe as I wear a lot of blues and the green is just so special.
Some mood shots same grey jumper just for an idea. The 02 looks really good against white or light color base

Ok so I do not know much about colour theory and such. I think I am neutral leaning warm and I like to wear typical light spring colours, but also ivory, black and grey. My skin is light with warm undertones ( MAC NC20), my hair is light chestnut brown and my eyes cool grey-green.

I have so far had the opportunity to try out 4 cw but not yet the blue.

All the cw are very wearable imo except for the pink. It was a bit much for me but I would guess your niece would look lovely in the pink or maybe the grey? And for you probably green or the orange? Or maybe the grey? There is a hint of blue in the scarf but I do not see any parme…

I personally find the grey very easy to wear with black, white and navy. The orange one has very pretty pink and coral shades but I do not like the teal that much…

Oh I don’t think I can wear any colour, but I need more strong colours not pastels. See below 2 examples against different bases. My hair and eyes are brown and the skin tone is neutral with olive undertones (I’m from Portugal and get tan very quickly and easily, but a bit paler at the moment)
So for me from the 3 the green is the one that looks the best on me followed by the 02. The blue I think is quite muted, not as striking as the other 2 but still interesting, I just love blues so knew I had to get it in blue ahha
Also like with the grey sweater actually. I think they all can work as depending on the knots you can highlight different colours and tones as showed by @redheaddem and @LKBNOLA

This treasure arrived early and I am in LOVE! I think this one will rank in my Top 10 H scarves of my collection. It is truly a work of art! The CW is incredible. Le Jaguar et Le Colibri in the natural/orange/multicolor CW. The last photo is the "reverse" side/inside. I told my DH this is his gift to me! I am elated to have snagged this one. I hope whoever wants this CW can get one. She is a beauty. And I think this is it for me this season (unless the blue CW came my way lol)!

My Jaguar Colibri (#2) finally arrived and I'm in love! It looks amazing with a wide variety of colors. I'm not sure on which color I like it the most but the plum one surprised me. It might be my favorite. This may be the most versatile of all of the colorways for JC. Everything I put it with looked good! It was possible without too much of a fuss to mostly conceal the marigold bits, of which I'm not a superfan, but that border and the animals..... you had me at hello. The hot pink trim is delightful! as well. Do I even need the #7 anymore?! Love the one you're with

Gorgeous and so incredibly versatile!

I am posting what, based on information and belief, as they say is my last purchase of AW23. My second cw of Le Jaguar et le Colibri has arrived. Huge thank you to @balthus and @EtsyBoss for their mod shots that flipped the switch for me. I was debating this or the green and after seeing the photos here, I decided, texted, held my breath and here she is!
Don't have much time to play with it today but even the saffron/marigold flowers feel like they are working well on this one. I would never have thought so and in any case, as @EtsyBoss noted, the Jaguar and the Hummingbord are so prominent along with the wide and gorgeous border that you can really show as much or as little as you like. I played it very safe in my cw choices of Lugo's L'Arbre du Vent so I am very happy to take some color risks on this one!

The scarf I did take home yesterday, after trying on a bunch of new season pieces, was lol another FW design, Letters Equestre.

This is something I mused on in online pictures but would never have bought if I hadn’t seen it in person. I am so taken with the amazing borders and the colors are so preppy! I love the blue and green together and the lavender details and edge mean it can be paired with pink as well. Super wearable for me.

Mine here on chocolate brown, charcoal grey, black cardigans, and in the neck of dark blue anorak. @Pivoine66 the border isn’t too luminous for me as it lifts the scarf. I was more worried about the actual orange but those parts are not large & solid. @Jereni blue/green still to come where I will be on safer ground!

I haven’t checked these last 10 pages of posts but I’m finally posting two Jaguar cashmere as few of you ladies asked me to do. Sorry it took a week. Hope you like them. I think these are the prettiest cashmere scarves I own, as the colors are so rich and there are many color nuances. Cw 2 is my favourite. Few are taken indoors w different lighting.

So lucky to own these… Magnificent!

And now adding these additional pics of Lettres Equestres 03 Bleu Ardoise/vert/parme for reference, with many thanks to @Jereni and her beautiful pics (also before the price increase!) So pleased with this one too. The design is much more refined & harmonious than one might think from the website pics, and I was initially a bit sniffy that it is an ‘Internal Creation’ rather than a ‘name’, but it makes no difference.

I have to say…I don’t think I have a csgm w naturel ( unless my early America is naturel and not a blanc), so I feel more drawn to the green I think for that reason. For its brightness.
I have several blue csgm’s and several gris chine backgrounds. And you all should know me well enough by now to know I try to avoid and struggle with yellow. So in this light with my makeup mirror for a light source for the photo, the yellow is wayyyy more highlighted than it should be normally in daylight or inside. But it is gorgeous still and total wheelhouse of color for my closet. It would get worn a ton. A ton!!

Interesting. I can see what you describe to some extent but it could also be the indoor lighting and winter complexion. Was it the oatmeal background? The navy one might be it.
