I visited my local Hermès boutique on Saturday… The only designs I was interested in trying on were Lettres Equestre from FW2023 and Precious Paradise from SS2024. They only had one CW of Precious Paradise but plenty of Lettres Equestre… They are all wonderful, IMO. It’s a great design that ties beautifully

They are all beautiful, Fifi. I initially disliked the design flat, but ended up getting one - as I liked how it ties!!!

Mega over analyzation warning to my process: ⚠️

@Maedi And @Living.la.vida.fifi . Yeah we all know their boutique lighting can be awful. So while yes the lighting doesn’t help, it wouldn’t work no matter the light. I now always go to the boutique w no make up on so I can get the Gods honest truth in there haha. If I need foundation or concealer to look good in a scarf by my face then it doesn’t make sense for my day to day wear. I have red in my skin, and this cw pulled it all out. Every tiny red blemish, every minuscule splotch. All in contrast to my skin tone. Even made my under eyes do something weird. It also felt like the scarf was “competing” w me. It could be the oatmeal along with the orange, as you mentioned the oatmeal maedi.
The blue is the one. It glowed up my face and didn’t highlight any negatives and love the border. While in the boutique, I also tried on the navy blue and baby pink Clair de lune and it was stunning on me. Thats how it became obvious the orange colibri was not coming home with me.

SHOCK alert ⚠️ — The green went back right after that boutique trip too  .While I loved the green swirling vines VERY much, and the naturel backround, the whole composition was off to me/for me. After seeing orange colibri in person, it became obvious what I didnt like on the green colibri. Not for everyone of course!! :cutesy: . I am weird w my likes/dislikes. I think it was the over abundance of primary colors AND naturel in the border. If the border on the green had way more greens and blue greens, and/or maybe a depth w spring tone colors ( in either pastel or brights direction) then I would have 100% kept it. But all the red/blue/yellow/orange tones threw the whole look of the scarf off for me.
Here is the up close border…

So….I want the orange border on the green vines. Chefs kiss..for me!
Here is my Frankenstein I made with green vines and orange border…

See… no reds and bright medium blue in the orange border. There is more green, blue greens, brights and depth of colors.
Ok end of my color desires and what I like and don’t like…on me.
So if it isn’t the whole level 10 $1300 package ‘for me’ then I have to let it go. Plus H math says I can get 5 second hand 90’s for that coin

If anyone else would like me to help them talk themselves out of spending money then I am available for a fee 🤣

And… I am qualifying on here as best I can about MY color issues being AbOuT ME. I know I will love seeing this on other scarfies and it will look glorious on them! It’s not you…it’s me  . Believe that.
Loved your analysis, Nomad:) and you are right - at $1300 it has to be spectacular. I did like the Cw2 on ladies that modeled it, but for me it was never an option as sadly I can't carry off that much orange.. I am twins with you on the blue one though.

It didn’t come home. I’m trying not to impulse buy. I always buy a scarf when in boutique haha. The pressure!! So my sweet SA said let Claire marinate and text him back. But boy oh boy is it a real consideration. I am actually going through my csgm collection now and figuring which ones make sense to add and which to possibly move along. And dare I say..a csgm Samourais might be on the go list!! Need more time to figure that out. I don’t wear the large much due to heavy winter wardrobe anyway so I need to keep the csgm collection slim and trim and not get to be a runaway train like my 90’s.
It’s good to reevaluate periodically and you’ve learned what works for you, so the process is an iterative one. And a ‘cool down’ period can be very helpful to avoid impulse purchasing!

I agree about the border on 02 being more delightful to my eyes and that factor making the green less desirable for me. I would have liked more pink in the vines of 02 but can live with that compromise and also my trust in the H coloration specialists. The oatmeal background was an interesting choice.
For some reason, I have not been able to sell any CSGM. I think very carefully about the initial purchase since they are pricey and am mostly content with my choices.
Excited to see what you will decide.
That’s really interesting about resale. I haven’t tried to sell any, but from the other side, I’ve seen CSGMs sell for much less than I thought they would. There are exceptions, of course. It seems a smaller market overall.
You’ve given me some food for thought!

At the same time, TRR increased their prices on CSGMs (most likely to align with H increase) - and they are selling them at those prices...

I should clarify that I meant I rarely consider selling my CSGMs and find it easier to part with certain silks. The acquisition of a GM is a greater financial effort for me and I have only sold one. As a buyer, I feel more comfortable buying pre-loved silks for authentication reasons.

Fabulous! Which one are you more drawn to?
Thank you so much! I actually love both of them as they each have wonderful qualities and features… It is very hard to pick one, but I feel I may wish to keep one with a light background color and possibly add a dark CW (either the blue or red). Which one do you like better on me? Or do you like both equally?

My pleasure! And thank you so much! I feel they are each special in their own way but do agree with you that the orange is striking and matches every single sweater I own! Very versatile
They are both beautiful on you. I love the contrasting hem in pink on the orange one; the yellow one has a classy chic feel..
