YOu know what to do when two colorways are fabulous.....

So agree. @SilkCouture - I simply cannot have it any other way. You must get both. Both scarves want you desperately, you cannot break one of their hearts surely?

It is time for you to start your own thread, my dear! YOu are so thoughtful about colors, knots, combinations, etc.
On topic - thanks for the comparison photos!

I know right? If there was like, a thread called @LKBNOLA Talks About Scarves, I would be subscribing to that bizness. I would be there on the daily with popcorn.

For @Pivoine66, @redheaddem, @Ashanti_Rose and others on the discussion of gris chine versus white versus oatmeal. I do think it is related to skin tone and eye color. I do very very well with gris chine, especially when it is mitigated with other colors and I do very well also with white and less well (though not impossible) with the oatmeal; and in the silk twill white is ok for me and anything too "creme" or "vanille" is not. @redheaddem, I did not find my perfect love for a true fall colored scarf this season either. I am hoping to see something with burgundy, warm reds and other harvest colors in the future. I feel I am missing something like that. Have you considered the beautiful cinnamon colored Zoaves et Dragons bandana shawl? I think it would be so glorious with your coloring...Oh, wait, we were supposed to be discussing how many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Sorry, sorry, I will get back on track in a second... :winkiss: :giggle:

Editing to add: It may be different when it is the background color versus a two tone design like this Three Graces? To stay on topic I post this by comparison to Dressage Tressage (06) that @SilkCouture included above...

I think it is indeed different when it is a two toned scarf! Beautiful Three Graces!
I checked with my boutique and they have the cinnamon Zoaves as well as some other cw of Dressage… will try to pass by and try them on!

I hope you can see the cinnamon zouaves. I have been so curious about it. I have eye in @LKBNOLA’s blue one for sure as my bandana csgm. Please take mod shot if get to try on cinnamon

I hope I haven't missed any other new-ins. I just got my second Vallee de Cristal for which @Ladybaga and @Maedi were the proximate cause of enablement. This was a design not on my radar at all so I am a bit gobsmacked to find that I have not one but two unicorns...It is a very unusual scarf in the richness of the coloration/saturation in every corner and the I find that the design is quite dynamic-- it has movement and flow. Bienvenue and Hermes did a wonderful job.
Thanks to everyone for all the great analysis and photos and to @momasaurus and @Redbirdhermes for the green comparisons and to everyone who weighed in on the wearability factor...I so appreciate the insights of this thread!
I am so excited to be twins and can’t wait to be inspired by your beautiful, expert styling.

Thank you @LKBNOLA, you have always such insightful comments :-) I think I am indeed missing some more vibrant parts close to my face. I did not try other CSGM this season, I do like the vert loden en liberte but did not pull the trigger yet… I guess what I really want is not available this season, a really wintery option with warm reds, caramels and browns…
What about the marine/blue royal/gold Dressage shawl?

Overall, I would say that the vibe is very different and while GTN is much more subdued, it lends itself to more drama. Dressage is for me a "throw and go" that matches so much in my closet. I think that GTN is very dramatic and beautiful in this size, so it was a must have in that season for me. I also knew from the moment I saw the teaser photos in this thread that I would get Dressage Tressage. The textures! The patterns! I included also thumbnails for comparison. Hope this helps.
I have more to say on the issue of how I went about building what feels like a coherent CSGM collection but I think the mods might want that on a different thread!
