I was so excited when I saw @yuzulife’s Friday evening PSA about VdC cw06 back online that I navigated right to the website on my phone and smashed that ApplePay button…only to realize that this option defaults to FedEx shipment to my home. I always opt for online orders to be delivered to my boutique so that I don’t have to worry about adjusting my WFH schedule to be available to sign, or porch pirates of the box is accidentally left without a signature (plus the chance to catch up with my SA is always nice!). I took an unplanned WFH day to wait for this one, and had a very hard time focusing as I refreshed the FedEx tracking page!

It just arrived, and I was initially going to wait to share modshots until I’d styled it more formally and hopefully tomorrow - the nice part of the home delivery today is that I’ll have a chance to wear it to the boutique tomorrow to pick up my cw01 (and peacock around the office all day I guess). However, I was just too excited and threw it on over my WFH Patagonia in some very quick and very loose ties. Not very styled or glamorous but I now have some lost work-related productivity to regain late in the day 😅

I’m absolutely in love with the crystal detail at each corner! I also enjoyed the little 🦄 head peeking out at me from the loose cowboy knot.

Thank you for your numerous shots / ties of your two gorgeous Vallees @Lellabelle! I wasn't immediately captured by the design but seeing all of the mod shots and yours especially has left me seriously tempted by both of those colorways. They are both solidly right inside my comfort zone and the design looks like it ties effortlessly. What to do, what to do! I still have multiple colorways of the Jaguar Colibri shawl on my wishlist and hoping for more colorways of the Alice Shirley Orphees to make an appearance. My bank account is crying!

For what it’s worth, I think you could rock any of the colourways that have been available so far, @EtsyBoss, though I think the green would be stunning on you!

Uggggg this is my dilemma! Yes, RedBird looks very beautiful and elegant with how she styled it. I’m beginning to think this scarf would be perfect for someone else. Kind of how I might like a piece of house decor in someone else’s house, just not mine.

It reminds me of the time I bought a gold Chanel mini and never wore it because it felt too flashy and just not me and who I am today.

I don’t ever wear color or pattern, strictly neutrals and that’s why I like having some color in a scarf, but I think at this point in my life I don’t want pretty things to look at. I need it to be functional and I don’t know that La Vallee will provide what I need from it, which is a feeling of ease and effortlessness rather than conflicting thoughts on if it’s too “look at me”. I think my inner child adores the design, and colorway!! But the practical me is trying to tell myself that I won’t actually wear it and will second guess myself each time I try it on. On the other hand another part of me wonders if my lifestyle (and taste) might change again in the coming years and decades to where I might regret and think about it as the scarf that got away. By golly I’m stuck in indecision!!

I would suggest you to keep the scarf. Don't return it. Being that is so rare and hard to find/buy at retail, I would suspect it will be easy to re-sell and for you to recover what you have spent - in case you decide that it is not for you at last. And it also will give you time to figure out the rest of everything. If case you return it and then later on fall in love with it, you will have to buy it used from a reseller at a mark up. Just think about it))
