I’d have bought a little bolide/cadena for the 100th year of the bolide, but

Back to topic: I’ve only dipped my toes into the ‘cartoon’ waters mostly because the cws were irresistible even though the designs aren’t necessarily ’my thing’. I’m feeling the need for a little breadth in the offerings especially when the cws are very similar if not exactly repeated. I’m not looking necessarily for a return to ‘bloody birds’ (I actually appreciate Gibiers) but something, I don’t know, a bit less predictable. JMO, and I’ll be at the boutique with all the other scarifies to see the choices IRL, and will likely come home with something, but I can’t say I’m as excited as I used to be.

I am  about the bloody birds! I think I am as excited about the 70 Pampa because it has that old H artistry, scale and appeal. I second your wish for a bit more breadth in the offerings @textilegirl!

I have just branched out into green scarves (very underrepresented in my collex) and was sad to see that the Robe Legere from last season was not kind to me. I am a bit of a color nerd and often try things just to see the H colors IRL! Thank goodness for free returns in H.com shopping-- it allows for lots of experimentation with one's own closet in many lighting environments. I say this as one who loves boutique shopping most of all...
@LKBNOLA and @Jereni Yes thank goodness for the generous return window! I had two recent designs on my list that luckily were wiped off when I saw the IRL photos of them! @HermesEchidna showing the light pink Robe Legere was a good save, and an ebay seller who was selling Brides et Destin in the vermillon/rose/blue clair cw. Sometimes the slight change in color can ruin a scarf for me.

@textilegirl, nodding yes, here, in agreement. I've not watched the seasonal scarf threads as avidly in recent seasons as I did in the past. Partly due to their adoption of the "color family" method of design. For so many seasons, the colors and color combinations have been challenging for me, so I've just skipped whole seasons even if I like a particular design.

Regarding designs, yes those hunting scarves were an acquired taste , but also agree with you regarding Gibiers! I could never bring myself to buy one, but that plumage is exquisite and always reminded of Florentine marbled paper. Folded one could actually forget the actual scene depicted!

Not meaning to be a wet blanket here, I always hold out hope to be surprised and delighted, because Hermes is so good at that! So, will dip my toes in here periodically :broom: to see what turns up.

When tied this looks exactly like the orange Robe Legere

True, but I missed out on the navy Robe legere so I might give the navy Planifleurs a try!

I won't be surprised if the Planifleurs CWs were close to the ones for Robe Legere! I passed on the marine and that grey/green one for the white CW. I think this one will be a popular design.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m talking about. Some seem like scarves from other (general?) brands, while designs don’t appear to me as sophisticated as they used to be. Again my personal opinion. It feels a repetition of similar designs and styles, to the point that I confuse who is the designer of what.

I may like Planifleurs (which I find similar to Robe Legere and I initially thought they were from the same designer), but I will have to look at how generous they have been with colors and shades adopted to make the design…how many screens they used, if those were still a thing in Lyon?!

I’m with you.

I think I have raised this point in the previous season’s thread, but I don’t seem to find any insight. I try again here. Is it possible that these two seasons are the first to be released after Bali Barret left? I know it takes a few years from designing/coloring and actual commercialization. Could this be the beginning of a very different era in terms of H scarves?
Interesting question. That could very well be. I am also longing for reissued older designs but perhaps they are too complex to be reissued.

I have 2 cw of Robe Legere. I love them so much, but seldom reach for it because of the empty spaces. I do fear it's toosimilar, but also do love the continents and there seems to be a LOT less empty spaces, so hoping it's prettier when tied.

I think the sage is beautiful, but def agree that the colors on the website sometimes are off, and would have to see it in person before making the purchase.

So far, I love the green Pampa, and the orange and sage Planifleur. I went overboard with AW22 scarves, but not that excited about the scarves for AW23. Im hoping there will be more designs and/or cw I love once I try them on :(

I spotted the Planifleurs in Paris, and got it in a hot pink color way. Sadly, my indoor lighting doesn’t do justice to the colour. I can take better daylight photos tomorrow if there’s interest

Ooh I love hot pink! Yes I would love some daylight pictures and also some tied perhaps! Would be lovely, thank you!!

I second that, please! Would love to see some more pics. That is a tantalising section you have shown already!

I'm disappointed so far: too many large borders and not enough contrasting hems... And except for the 12 leopards perhaps, no design really appeals to me.

Edit to say that's my first post on this forum though I've been reading it for a while. I chose the same name as on Make-Up Alley... because I love perfumes too!
Welcome! You are not the only one feeling rather underwhelmed at present and waiting for a knockout scarf blow!
