Thanks for your pics! I spied a couple of scarves that I would have gotten if I was in NYC for the sale! *sigh*

I have been eagerly awaiting this sale since the last one. I never could have imagined that I would've been this disappointed. I was allowed in at 1:45 then waited on line for 30 minutes before I was allowed in to shop. There were no clic clacs by then. Enamels were available in a variety of sizes though they mostly looked like leftovers from the previous sale. I almost cried when I saw the scarves or lack thereof. There were very few to chose from and unfortunately none of the colorways suited me. There was a decent selection of shoes but I wish they had been further discounted. Again, a great selection of ready to wear, if you are into that. There were a number of great jackets available. While I was on line, I overheard a number of people state that the only reason they purchased something was to justify standing in line to get into the sale. I walked out of there with a scarf ring, that was my something. (I can't remember the exact price of the scarves, but they were probably the same price as the spring $231. The ties were $111.)

Oh dear...a friend of mine is going to this sale tomorrow and she asked me if she had to look for something for me. I gave her some scarf names and cws that I would love to have but if I hear the stories and see these pics, I don't have much hope :sweatdrop:.

Hi

Anyone let me know if Garden Party(in canvas) medium size (PM?) was there?
I saw small(may be smallest) size garden party was there at last year's fall sample sale in NY but it is not what I am looking for.

Any info greatly appreciated!

I am thinking that these sales are best for the RTW and seasonal shoes. Scarves, bags, SLGs and jewelry can all be distributed and sold through the boutiques regardless of season. Also, with the expansion of the numbers of Hermes stores, there's less inventory in all the stores.

went there yesterday and agreed with our ladies, there wasn't anything fun in there. I didn't get anything. I don't know what to make out from it. Almost no leather goods (some canvas but they ain't even that fun), some belts straps, printed enamels, tons of ready to wear, some shoes, not too much scarfs, tons of ties, men's shirts, some China and crystals.

I would buy the toy if i had a kid :), and a small section of men's shoes.

unlike last year where restricter was in at like 10AM! =( Pic and snarkiness on my blog.

:queen: Wow, am I so feeling the love!!! Anyway, cheer up Sleepyjae because there were absolutely no clic clacs when I got in this time (which was not 10am, thankyouverymuch) nor any plumes.

I did find some shiny things over in the fine jewelry counter though.

First, a gold mini chaine d'ancre necklace:

A silver bracelet with a rose gold Kelly charm:

And these totally cool earrings:

Best of all, was the screw up at the register. The bracelet and necklace rang up at 90% off, effectively making this the cheapest H sale for me EVER.

Oh, and I got a Kelly Caleche box set, too.

I had a pretty good time at the sale, actually. It was nice to see old friends and make some new ones.
