Happy online shopping

i prefer to shop in store but getting a lindy last year was really hard. stores werent getting that many in and it just turns out one day h.com had the bag for purchase. I understand to put ur name on a list for a b you need to spend x amount of money and unfortunately the only two items i want was lindy and a b but since its done online i missed that chance to even ask.
Are you in NY? I think Madison Ave is one of the stores where you can get a bag more easily than others without a ton of purchases beforehand. It is luck of the draw but you might get lucky, esp if you come in already with an H bag.

I am going to try but because it is nyc sa on Madison Ave tend to be not as friendly. One time I walked in and was browsing for about 10 minutes no one helped me and when my friend and I asked for help with the h bracelet we got brushed off. Not sure we look too young or just wasn't worth her time to help

It's funny, I've had different experiences. There is a blond lady on the first floor who was extremely rude and couldn't be bothered when I went to purchase a scarf. However, I had a great experiences with a gentleman on the same floor who helped me purchase gloves. The people that I've dealt with in the bag section were lovely. I didn't ask for a K or a B but they were very helpful when I was looking for a bolide. BTW, I look young too and the blond lady was too busy fanning over a couple who was taking forever to make a decision. Meanwhile, I bought my scarf in less than 2 minutes, I just needed her to get it out of the case and bring it to the register.

It's an interesting discussion but has nothing to do with Hermes.com. Could the thread move back to topic now please?

If ordering on French H.com on Fri night/Sat morning will the package most likely ship on Saturday, or will the order wait to be processed until Monday?

My weekend orders were processed on Mondays. Delivery is still very fast though.

I'm not sure where you live in France, but you could perhaps look into the courier delivery option for next time. It's same day delivery (weekdays) and you can specify the exact time you want them to arrive. It cost 10 Euros more than Chronopost when I last did that. Loved it!

Merci! I actually live in London - I like to buy on the € whenever possible! I usually get next day delivery (Paris to London) but I have only really ordered M-Th so I was curious if they processed Fri/Sat orders. How wonderful you can coordinate deliveries like that in France!

Ah, OK. I've placed weekend orders for delivery to the UK and those were processed on Mondays too.

I didn't realise you could use the French site for a delivery elsewhere. I've just moved back to London and am getting used to H prices over here. Hmmm... One to investigate!

Cool coincidence, I was just about to ask whether anyone in the UK buys in Euros from the French website because the pricing/FX works out much better. Sounds like it is indeed possible! And now there is the option for free delivery to store as well, which is very handy as I work around the corner from Royal Exchange. Plus it means no Fedex packages arriving in my house causing DH to give me grief about spending more money.

Thanks! If I needed to return something to h.com (I'm in the UK) do you know if I can bring it to a boutique and have them ship back for me? It's tough having to alter my schedule waiting for fedex to pick up from my home.

I've done exchanges to my local store but not refunds. I just looked up the FAQ which states:

To Hermès stores
Hermès stores offer exchange or customer credit for products purchased on the Hermes.com website, but no refunds.

So if you want a proper refund I guess you will have to go through Fedex.

Hi, thanks. I knew about the exchange only policy - I was specifically wondering if they could ship back for me, or act as the "pick up point" rather than have fedex come directly to my door.

If you get H.com items delivered to the store (UK), can you also unpack and look at it in the store??? Will they give you an orange shopping bag to put the items in or do you have to lug the actual parcel along with you?!?
