One could say anything from Hermes is overpriced. But in my opinion they are worth it! They are very well made, solid, elegant etc. I have two H bracelet, one with gold and one silver. They are so comfortable to wear and is pretty hardy. They look great on their own or stacked.

I would looking into buying from a reputable reseller if price is an issue. Be careful there are loads of fakes. Unfortunately the H sub-forum doesn't authenticate them any more. But you can look up in the H sub-forum for reputable resellers. Good luck!

I think anyone can make the argument that any luxury good is overpriced :p

But if this was an Hermes bag/leather good or even a tie (I think their ties are only in the $150 range) I wouldnt even worry about it. I might think about the style and have a forum titled "Hermes or Chanel -any opinions?" but- at this point I think I would prefer a Twilly than a gold plated Hermes bracelet. But I still do admire the H bracelet - its a great bracelet you can wear it up or even casual- which I love.

Price isn't an issue- I mean of course if this was just $200 or something I would be more inclined to buy it. I don't want it thaaaaat much that I would buy a used bracelet.

At the end I think I've realized that its just gold plated not pure gold- maybe not worth the almost $700 price tag (thats including tax)

Thanks for you input!

Their tie is $195 + tax. Have you considered a Hermes leather bracelet?

Actually their skinny ties 6cm is only $145- just checked online. Their 7cm is $195. I remembered it because a Burberry tie is around the same price point too. But at that point if I was to decide over a Burberry or an Hermes tie- my boy would be receiving an Hermes tie instead.

I thought about a leather bracelet since I first saw it at Ferragamo but I feel that leather would show wear much easier compared to any metal bracelet.

OK. Yes I checked 7cm ties because that's what people wear in my area. Never mind though.

I love Hermes and collect the handbags, scarves, cashmere wraps, belts, and some jewelry.
That said, I never have purchased a clic clac. They are pretty, but over the years I have found that I prefer the more quiet H items and that big "H" just bothers me....there are so many fakes, too.
600 is a lot to spend but if you love it, wear it all the time, and it makes you feel special, then it is worth it.
I would encourage you to also look at the leather bracelets. They are fun and come in pretty colors, too. The CDC is expensive, but iconic Hermes without that big H.

To be completely 100% honest, the price tag is not worth something that is only gold plated. It is a nice bracelet, but it is not worth the $700 price tag. However, if you truly love the design, then it is more justifiable.

I have a few clic clacs. Sometimes I think to myself that I am silly to spend so much on just a gold plated bracelet, but I absolutely love them and wear it quite often. So if you think of it in terms of cost per wear then it may be worth it.

Make sure you truly love it before making that investment because at the price point, there are many other options.

Here's a picture of mine stacked :). Good luck on your decision!

I have an Hermes twilly and LOVE it- I'm thinking of maybe buying an Hermes scarf instead of one of their bracelets. I think the Clic Clac is great but I don't see myself wearing it twenty years from now.

I thought about leather bracelets but I'm worried that it would wear fast/show signs of wear pretty easily. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the pictures!
For something that is just gold plated- the more I think about it the more I don't think the almost $700 cost is going to be worth it. I think the design is great and all but- not worth almost $700.

I'm right now thinking about a Tiffany's gold pearl by the yard bracelet. Its $450. I could get a DBTY gold one for $650 but I've been wanting a pearl bracelet for sometime so I'm thinking of that one for now :)

Thanks for your input!

I would never pay that for costume jewelry even if it is designer. I would get something solid from Tiffany or from my local jeweler for that much money. I have seen that bracelet faked a bunch which wouldn't bother me if it were solid gold or silver. I feel the same way about Chanel jewelry and that Arty ring from YSL that was so popular a few years ago. Get the Hermes scarf. It's a classic!

Did you buy your bracelet at T&CO or was it a different jeweler?

There was a small jewelry store outside of a restaurant in Japan that had the necklace displayed in their window... and I just had to have it. Mine wasn't T&Co. I found out later the spaced pearls on a chain is called "tin cup". ;)

Get the scarf!!!!

At the end of the day, that bracelet is just costume jewelry. Now I love Hermes, but I would never pay that much for costume jewelry no matter who made it. Just like I wouldn't buy faux leather from Hermes either.
Yes, the scarves are overpriced as well, but they are 100% silk. If I'm paying for the brand, I'm at least getting the highest quality material.

Also, you can wear pearls daily, just don't shower in them or spray them with perfume or hairspray.

I just got my first clic H bracelet and though I'm not a bracelet person and usually don't usually buy costume jewellery I truly love it...I bought it as a test before buying a Love and found it really comfortable and so lovely!

I got the gold plated narrow narrow one in white and it really looks like a luxury accessory, not cheap at all. I know it can seem expensive but I think it's worth it quality wise.

I also have a leather Hermes bracelet that I bought years ago and it still looks like new. I don't wear it very often and always store it in it's Hermes pouch but still am surprised how good it looks after several years.

If you hesitate between a leather bracelet and a Clic H I would suggest that you get a clic H first if you intend to wear it often, and it's also easier to dress up :smile1:

I can see your understanding and reasons not to buy Hermes clic H bracelet! I bought one several years ago after I saw a thread in Hermes on clic clac! I was immediately taken away by the thin, black enamel and enamel H! The next day I went to my local Hermes boutique and picked one up! The price tag was hefty since the enamel H is more rarer. Im glad I made my purchase and have understood that luxury designer goods are always and will be EXPENSIVE for their exclusiveness. GL on your decision.

I do enjoy Hermes scarves so once I find a pattern I like I'm definitely planning on getting one!

Re: pearls- I've also been told that since they're just on a cotton string you need to get them restrung often. I took a look at the Pearls By the Yard collection and although it was nice- it didnt have the wow factor I was hoping for. Also the chain is pretty thin.

Do you own any Hermes scarves? How do you care for them? I've read a post about it but I'm not sure if I should hand wash my Twilly (with cold water) or if I should take it and get it dry cleaned via Hermes- but I think I was told it would take 6 weeks? Or maybe at least 3.
