Hi! Wanting to get my first pair of Chypres and wondered if I should opt for Epsom or smooth calf skin if available? Does the calf skin ones crease more then the Epsom?

Also wondered if someone would like to share some pictures of how the shoes are holding up?

Hoping someone might take the time, thank you in advance
I can't speak for Epsom since I don't have epsom Chypres but my calfskin in Natural color are in great condition, and I wear them everyday since I got them about 8 months ago, they're my go to run around sandals, walking with my dogs everyday with them. I live in hot tropical weather and have been caught in the rain with them (quickly, and I always wipe them down as soon as I can). I'll be back with pics to share.

I noticed that there are more Chypres available on the UK (and possibly European) website in August. Last year I got my first pair in mid August and two more pairs afterwards. This year I managed to get them in the end of July. And I saw more than 20 pairs available in one size just two days ago. Before that the availability is so slim that a human has zero chances against bots.

I got my very first Epsom ones in summer 2021 and they are still pristine. I wear them all year round (currently live in one season, hot, rainy humid climate) and everywhere (beach, shopping, flights). Just bought my latest pair in suede but haven't worn those yet. Cannot comment on calfskin Chypres but so far my Hermes shoes all wear very well, my only worn out pair are metallic calfskin

Thank you both so much for sharing your thoughts! Talking to an SA now so hopefully I can get my hands on a pair soon:)

Anyone got their leather chypre wet? I accidentally got mine with water and the leather on the top velcro part got blistered. Will this go away? I saw some people wear their chypre's on the pool and the beach so I don't know if mine is defective.

Update: I successfully remove the bubbles/blisters on my leather Chypres. I use a hot air gun and gently apply heat on the leather.
I'm so happy it looks brand new again.

My first 2 tone and in suede Chypres I got from online. Although I preferred one tone in leather only but this violet is so pretty.

We are twins! My SA kindly offered me a few combos and this was an immediate yes. I love how Hermes combines Navy with Violet, they seem to do it often and this matches some bags and RTW I already have.

Yay! Twinsie! :drinks:
I don’t know why but I don’t like suede or 2 tones either. I remember I tried on the beige argile suede Chypre a while back. Although I loved the color but bcuz it was suede so I passed on it. Now I saw this navy violet combo and loved at first sight lol. My SA hasn’t received any in this color yet and I didn’t want to wait so I ordered online lol.

Ugh I really want a pair in black -I’m not sure why because sometimes I’m like are they bulky and ugly but now I’ve become obsessed ha. But I just have no clue what size and if I get someone to source them and they don’t fit I’m screwed . I’m a 38 in all orans and Gucci -I’m worried if I size up 1/2 size they’ll be too big and bulky. Any advice??? Also are these comfy or not bc some people sayin horribly uncomfortable

I took half a size up per my SA’s
recommendation and it fits perfect. They’re very cute, that being said for me they’re not made for walking long distance.

Really? Bc aside from the fact that they’re loud I find my orans very comfy and could walk all over in them. I thought these would be more support? Do you have narrow feet? Like my 38 orans are a bit wide so I’m worried if I go up a 1/2 size in Chypre they’ll be too big
