I saw a TPF’er posted about applying corn pads on the underside. I am going to try that night. I had mine conditioned mine professionally to work in the leather and thought I had broken them in on my one as well, but they are still uncomfortable. Chic (imo), but still uncomfortable for walking 15+ minutes. At least I got the right size (for me?!) .5 size up from Orans.
I use moleskin and it really helps

I originally have a 38.5 in Chypre (I’m 38 in orans) but the fit is just right like there is no room for it to feel comfortable. When I put the moleskin, it made the sandals a little tight on me on the strap area.
So I bought the 39. I feel I have better room for my feet with the 39. I haven’t tried it with the moleskin but I think putting the moleskin would be perfect as there is enough room. Can’t wait for it to be more comfortable every wear.

Every pair I’ve owned has this issue. I scratched at the spot with my fingernail to loosen up that threading that pokes at the top of my foot. Eventually it softens up pretty quickly and I never even feel it anymore. Could also try nail clipping it after you loosen it up with fingernail pressure
Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll definitely keep this in mind!

I got my first pair in black leather in January 22. Per everyone's recs here, I got a 40.5 (one full size up from orans) and it fits perfectly. Love them. I just ordered the fuzzy bois de santal in a 40.5 and the sandal is MUCH bigger and longer, when measuring with my previous 40.5. I think they are making them bigger now. Or maybe just the fuzzy ones?

These babies are a 37.5 and they fit well. I wear a 38 in the leather version. I think the leather version runs smaller. I wear a 37.5 in orans. I must say these are way comfortable than the leather version.

I have these and OMG. So comfortable. I literally wear them every day. I need to figure out how to clean them.

this is my first time buying hermes shoes or sandals from a personal shopper. And im getting confused on what size i should buy. Im size 38 in dway slides. Should i get a 38.5 or 38?

I went up one full size in leather chypres (size 40) compared to my usual size 39, but for the ones with shearling I took my usual size 39. I wear 39 in the heeled dior Dway slides. If u look back at this thread I think many people did size up a full size, some half a size. I would get either 39 or 38.5 in leather chypres if u usually wear size 38 (and get size 38 if u get the shearling chypres)

Finally snagged these from the website and they arrived today! Based on a lot of you guys, it looks like y’all took your regular size in the shearling/woolskin styles but the smallest size they had was 40 and I wear 39 in Orans. Do they look okay? I have to tighten the strap a lot which makes them overhang some. They feel fine when I walk but not if I loosen the strap. Also, when I start to walk, it feels like my foot is sliding backwards slightly which makes my toes barely come out at the top like they are sliding underneath the H. Just tell me I’m not crazy and they look fine lol. TIA!
