It's snowing like mad here -- BBL, how do you manage to miss all these storms???
Good morning, Mindi. Sorry about the little pooper. But that's one of the problems of little tiny legs and too tall snow!
I hope your anxiety from last night has subsided some.
But, it's mid January, which means a month from now is mid February and then .... March!!! And we all know what happens in mid-late March, right????
Totally get it, Mindi. My mother actually thought I wasn't good enough for DH. She thought HE could do better. And she told HIM and ME!! No, she was being funny. Just her evil creepy self. Maybe she was being a little sarcastic. But she wouldn't even buy him birthday cards for son-in-law, because he was more than that to her. When we were first married, DH and I both were on the road (worked for the same company) who did she worry about? Two guesses. There was a horrible incident 30 years ago in DC and just our daily commute was travel. A plane that had just taken off from National crashed into the 14th Street Bridge in a horrible snow storm. And we didn't even use that bridge, but you know how one can miss a turn, like looking at a new diamond ring, but I digress...Somehow I was home already and there were no cell phones, they were all calling to make sure DH was okay and worrying the cr*p out of me. There was no instant news; we probably didn't even have cable. Thank G-d for no call waiting in those days. And, no DH did not take that bridge, ever.
So, you can at least put your leg behind your head and giggle about Henry and his Mama.
Really, I worry about everybody. All the time. Now, you've given me another person to worry about.
And way less $$ than a mousseline!![]()
InterestingI like the Bright Koi scarf...less than a mousseline, eh?
Speaking of we are off to DH's family reunion this week. Vibes, prayers, 'Bella keeps her mouth shut and doesn't get into trouble ' vibes would be appreciated! :shame:
Time for vodka and porn?
Vodka, fer shur. And I find online shopping is a more satisfactory activity than watching porn. Which either means I am uptight, overly capitalistic, or really old and sad. Sigh. No points for guessing which one it is.
Pugsy, I have bought so many shoes recently. And Restricter and CG have my "buy" finger hovering over the uggs on Zappos. I need another pair of boots like a hole in the head. I have to say (sorry) that I love that AMCQ scarf.
Peeps!! Where does the time go?
Nothing new here. Collin keeps us hopping and I'm busy learning my new job. Last weekend I didn't leave the house, yet spent too much. Darn online shopping! Now I have boxes to look forward to!!
Oh my gosh. How can I thank everyone for all your kind words and support?
Hugs to all of you.
(Is it wrong to hope for a snow day tomorrow?)
Mindi, just repeat my mantra whenever you feel the urge to strike people down (yeah, I was totally going "Star Wars" there); 'It's a felony, it's a felony....it's...a...felony' I'm fairly certain it's saved many a rude SA/boss/co-worker over the years.
No new pics of the crochet tank today. I caught up on some housework and then over-spent at Target. I found all kinds of loot for my nieces and nephews. Bad, ATG! I'll try to take new ones tomorrow.
Srsly, who requested the tank? I cannot remember!!
ARGH! ATG, it was ME who wanted a tank, and I can't see yesterday's pic! ARGH! I'm SOOOOO excited!
We have had about 18+ inches of snow here. . . blowing and drifting means there is about three solid feet on our front porch and drive and back patio. The smawl dawgs LITERALLY disappeared during their first foray out today. I have now managed to shovel a small square where they can do their business without drowning in the white stuff and will do more later when the accumulation stops. (HenHen started the day by trying to go out back and finally pooped in the front room. Led me to it, as if to say, "Hey, I knew it was wrong, but really, what could I do?" and I had to agree.)
DIY vibes for Mindi this week will be appreciated.
Oh, and ATG, I had forgotten "It's a felony." I will remember it next time. It cracks me up, which would be an excellent alternative to soaring blood pressure. Or assault.
Ooooh, I can't WAIT to see the TANK!!!!!!![]()
