Keratin lasts 3-6 months. Since hair grows about an inch a month, your front and shorter layers are the first to go frizzy.

Being from Brooklyn, I am no stranger to Big Hair. There are several very embarrassing photos from my youth where you could bounce a sofa off of my head.

BTW, Purse - the ABL vibes totally worked. Phone interview went well.:yahoo:

Great! :dothewave:

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Re big hair- you had to have it to balance the giant shoulder pads!

Anytime BBL! :hugs::flowers:
It's really easy to use. Put cold milk into it and press a button. It turns itself off after 90 seconds. You can remove the whisk part to make less foam (I'm not a foam fan).

The drawback is you need to clean it after each use.

I don't mind the cleaning part. The problem I have with the Kuerig is that it is so darned difficult to clean. Actually it is downright impossible to clean. It makes me crazy because the grounds collect in a place that I can't clean.
And, I'm not a clean freak. Far from it.

Avril-You are so sweet. I really don't mind caring for my grandmother, although there are days were I want to lose my mind. It is alot of work. I try to be a nice, good, caring person but I don't know. I have days where I'm not so nice.

I love the story about your nana. It's wonderful. It's nice to have a reminder of our loved ones.

Pug*shoes-can't wait to see your new goodies!!

IL-Happy New Year!

ATG-That person is a MORON!! What a low class JERK!

OB-I cannot believe those guys on the plane with your friend and her toddler. That is so wrong.

What is wrong with people these days.

EB-You are too kind. I can't imagine what it must be like to be raising teenagers. I work with some teenagers and they are alot of work!!

Nurse-I'm not a saint, not at all. But thanks! I'm glad you met your thesis groups guidance professor and that you like her. That is fantastic!

CMB-Thanks for the info on the coffee machines. Still haven't decided which one to get. I love starbucks!!! It's an addiction that place. You are such a wonderful friend. I'm sure it's hard for your friend, she was lucky to have him for so long. I think the longer we have someone, the hard it is. My grandmother is going to be 87 this month. I can't even imagine her not being here.

Restricter- do you like the Keratin? My friend did it and hated it. She said it made her hair so flat and she has thin hair to begin with. I have huge hair and I LOVE IT!

Glad your interview went well.

Ok so I'm freaking out a bit, we were just told (I'm at work) that there is a big staff meeting at 5pm. We never have meetings at 5pm. I wonder what this will be about...I don't think it's layoffs. I think my boss is leaving. That's my guess.

Mree - sending you ABL vibes for your meeting.

I love Keratin treatments. I think it depends on what brand of treatment your stylist uses (mine uses a brand called Prevanna) and how it's applied (she roller sets my hair to give it body). My hair is so much more manageable with the Keratin. Now all I have to do is remind my stylist not to cut my bangs so effing short... I was looking like Sonic the Hedgehog for a few weeks after my last cut.

I know you haven't been happy there. Would boss leaving be a good thing or a bad thing? Any idea who would replace them?

Well my day was made; waiting for a pal outside the restroom at Target with her loaded shopping cart & some guy angrily shoves around me & 'whispers' "F#@& that fat B!^@# ! Blocking the whole aisle" - Nice.

Time for a piece of chocolate!

:cursing::boxing: Unbelievable! What has happened to a simple excuse me? Common decency is just not common, unfortunately that goes for common sense too!

ATG you are nicer than me since you didn't say anything, (and I applaud you for that), I would have said something like, oh, I didn't know your Mom was here, (yo' mama is still a classic) and then I would have hoped he said she's not, I was talking about you, so I could tell him oops I just figured it had to be your Mom as I know an angry, insensitive jack wagon like yourself couldn't get laid in a whorehouse so I knew you weren't talking about a girlfriend or wife. (well I guess that would only work if I could see he wasn't wearing a wedding band), LOL really this is just the first thing that popped into my head, if I had saw him in person I am sure I could have thought of something better!

Sorry for your experience ATG, I know it is easier said then done but don't waste time thinking or caring about people like that, feel great that you were the better person!

I just met my thesis groups guidance Professor. She is such a lovely lady. Love her!

So glad for this good news, nurse! Your thesis advisor is a really important person in your educational career. When you have a good rapport, the process is great.

Oh, and you can come visit and drink my coffee anytime, anywhere! :hugs:

Restricter, yahoo for the good interview and box o bags arriving!! Now for the trifecta...negative biopsy for Winky.

All this talk about coffee makers is making me renew my search for a replacement. Ours is from DH's college days, so needless to say, it's time.

I have a nomination for COO of Massengil. It's my mentee, the same person who gave me the face scrub for my birthday.

This missive just appeared in my text messages:

"Hi, Happy New Year. Sorry I have not been in touch. I was stressed about your gift but I finally found something that I feel good about and can afford."

Now I'm not going to be able to sleep because a bazillion scathing responses keep coming to mind.

I find that an odd text because from what I know of you I think the thought would mean more to you than the dollar amount spent on a gift. It's too bad she doesn't know that about you.

Good Morning everyone! :sunshine::sunshine::sunshine::sunshine:

Dropping in before I begin decluttering again. I am in bedroom #4 though. It's all downhill from there.

Restricter- I have no advice re the mentee. :hugs::hugs:

CMB- good luck at the vet today! Sending healthy vibes to Mugshot and Doger~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When you get done with your bedrooms, purse, you can head on over here and launch into mine... :p

Thanks for the vibes! I just got back and put Mugshot on some pre-emptive antibiotics for the facial punctures, and Dodger got a Lepto vaccine and some Benadryl. They both got a spritz with this new miracle anticmicrobial/anti-infective spray called Vetericyn VF. Kills everything, including MRSA. A small spray bottle is 30 bucks, but a good thing to keep on hand for future possum strikes...
