ATG, that experience blows my mind. What in the HECK is wrong with people? Maybe he was so used to cussing at his video games that he forgot the difference between those and real people? No, I'm being too kind. Wow.
Hanging with HenHen and awaiting the behaviorist. Henry has been so weird today, perhaps because DH is away for the day. He's been incredibly needy, all over me, following me, trying to be in my lap constantly. Cute, but not helpful when one is trying to, oh, eat, or dress, or comb one's hair. Odd little beasty.

Thank you! I haven't really been thinking about how important she is, but now that she is giving us a lot of written feed back and oral we are in bliss. And she is so nice. Got to love her.

I love Keratin treatments. I think it depends on what brand of treatment your stylist uses (mine uses a brand called Prevanna) and how it's applied (she roller sets my hair to give it body). My hair is so much more manageable with the Keratin. Now all I have to do is remind my stylist not to cut my bangs so effing short... I was looking like Sonic the Hedgehog for a few weeks after my last cut.

Thanks! I'm super worried about this meeting. I didn't know that there where different brands of keratin, I will have to tell my friend this. I love my big curly hair. Everyone tells me I look better with straight hair but I hate it. I think it's too flat. They only say that cause they think I look thinner with straight hair. People tell me all the time, I look heavier with big hair. Whatever! Love me or hate me, I don't care!! hahaahha

I know you haven't been happy there. Would boss leaving be a good thing or a bad thing? Any idea who would replace them?

No I'm not happy here. The thing is I LOVE my boss! His hands are tied in alot of ways but he is great to me. He is the only reason why I have stayed. I think my boss is ill, I think, I'm not sure. No his replacement would be a nightmare. He actually does not like me AT ALL! How do I put this nicely? I'm smarter than him and he knows that and so he doesn't like me.

I'm like freaking out I don't know what to do. I should just relax and wait and see what this meeting is about. I hate surprises though!!

ATG you are nicer than me since you didn't say anything, (and I applaud you for that), I would have said something like, oh, I didn't know your Mom was here, (yo' mama is still a classic) and then I would have hoped he said she's not, I was talking about you, so I could tell him oops I just figured it had to be your Mom as I know an angry, insensitive jack wagon like yourself couldn't get laid in a whorehouse so I knew you weren't talking about a girlfriend or wife. I would be the same way!! People are so rude these days. You should hear the voicemails people leave me. I'm like WOW! Oh and the emails. It cracks me up. People yell and cuss at me all day long.

Ok, so can i ask a question? If a store is closed, would you bang on the glass door and demand that the store opens and lets you exit through their street entrance? Mind you, you can take an elevator that is in the mall to the street exit but the store exit is closer to the street.

Good morning Purse!

I'm a stressed out wreck today. Phone interview at 11. Awaiting Winky biopsy results. And a box of purses that I sent via Priority Mail to Ann's Fab Finds on 12/31 still has not been delivered. Get this: according to the USPS, Priority Mail can take up to 5 days even though they state that the delivery time frame is 2-3 days. I'm assuming that the box didn't actually leave the post office until Monday. Still... And to make matters worse, one of my friend's bags is in there.

Hope the interview went well, and the Winkster's results are as you predicted.

I can sympathize on the mail loss. My RAOK package was sent overseas to "the holy land" on December 2nd, and my RAOK buddy STILL hasn't received it. When I try to track it via the customs form online, all I get is that it's finally been accepted by that country's customs office. Sheesh.

Mree, My kids are basically really good kids, just incredible slobs. I am very fortunate. Some of my peers children have had very serious run-ins with the law.

DS goes back to school tomorrow. I will miss him. He always has the ability to make me laugh, even when I am really b*tchy. He made Dean's list this semester (for the second straight semester).

BBL--I have mocha latte for my keurig. Is it maybe not a "real" latte? I don't know what defines a latte. In fact, I know nothing about coffee.

ck, a latte is just espresso mixed with a lot of hot steamed milk (usually a 4:1 milk to coffee ratio). There should really be no foam, because that would make it a cappuccino, which should be a 2:1 ratio, with equal parts espresso, hot milk, and foam volume. But these days, the term broadly encompasses hot coffee drinks with some kind of foamy milk.

When I go to Starbucks, I have to specify I want a latte with extra shots of espresso, whole steamed milk, and absolutely NO foam, or else I get a cup of foam with a shot of espresso.

Crazy, I know.

Changing the color? I used some root lifter the hairdresser suggested and I can now get my hair that high! I kid you not and it stays. Good stuff, if you like that sort of thing. I'll bet the back is a big empty bald spot.

Now for something really serious, how long does the Keratin last? I had mine done before I met with you in NY in November and I don't think it looks so smooth anymore. But with all the product that I used the last time I washed it, I guess I really can't tell. If any of you need a good root lift, I'll let you know what the stuff is!

Is a Keratin treatment anything like a Brazilian blowout, or the Japanese smoothing treatment?

I don't know anything about any of it, but I've seen signs on some of the hair salons here.

Keratin lasts 3-6 months. Since hair grows about an inch a month, your front and shorter layers are the first to go frizzy.

Being from Brooklyn, I am no stranger to Big Hair. There are several very embarrassing photos from my youth where you could bounce a sofa off of my head.

BTW, Purse - the ABL vibes totally worked. Phone interview went well.

I once got a perm (my hair is stick straight) and it ended up making me look like a very white Angela Davis.

My keratin treatment is Fusion by Coppola. I have it done at Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. I use Fusion products and am very happy. I do know that the less I wash my hair, the longer I can go between treatments. I just cannot get over this root lift stuff. I have never had a hair product that actually works and does what it says it will do. I don't necessarily like my hair big, but I like a little height.
Now, for something completely different, where is my Kelly, anyway? Getting impatient.
And on a related note, concerning my Black Box Kelly. If you recall, I managed to lock the keys to the lock. Turned out that the boutique couldn't open the lock and sent it to a jeweler to have the lock picked. It came back today. It's now opened.
