I got a call from my SA that rose shocking birkin 30 is arrived!! I need to answer to buy or not by today since she can hold it only 1 day...

I was waiting iris or blue de prusse......but i think rose shocking will be pretty too.
But isn't it difficult to wear? does anyone have rose shocking color?
give me some idea.....ah................help me!!!!

Currently i have 35 birkin in black, etoupe, and gold and bolide in rouge.
I usually wear jeans and im 29yrs old.....

thanks a lot

Rose shocking is a pretty bright pink. All of your other bags are darker colours and you wanted iris or BdP. It may be brighter than what you want.

I think it would look great with jeans and personally I'd be all over it but it depends on you and your tastes.

Vibes going out for Lala!

Question for the moms--when did you start putting your child to sleep on their tummy, if ever?

CK, I think you need to wait till he can flip himself over, but it's been awhile. I think the back is always safe, and if he can turn over, he'll tummy himself, KWIM?

Morning all!

He does flip quite easily by himself. The challenge is that when we set him in the crib he gets so mad that he just screams and doesn't try to turn. However, if we could put him down on his tummy, he would fall right asleep. Because the back is always safe, I always put him down that way but am wondering when/if others have given in to what helps him sleep better.....

Thanks Mindi, for the scarf intel. We are familiar with that pattern. It is beautiful. I was all over the Tours des Cles. But, alas. I am on permanent Hermes shutoff. No temporary ban, I, but full out no more. I am ashamed of myself and my piggish ways. I have to forego the sale. So sad. No LV Sofia Coppola bag. Not even a PM. No new eskandar for summer. I have gotten myself in trouble. I can clean up my act once more, but not again, unless I can get a job. Now there is a concept.

The Hermes artisans are 10 or 8 (can't remember) artisans who are crafting their specialties at a location close to a boutique. Bellvue, WA, Chicago and next Vienna, VA. I will be invited to the cocktail party (probably can't go, no driver.) I'd like to go see them on the Sunday that they will be in residence. This is two weeks. I know my SA is holding a bunch of scarves for me and I have to tell her to put them away now.
So much for feeling sorry for myself. I think I'll talk to Lala and try to cheer her up!!

CK, I may be shot by child experts here for saying this, but, in my defence, the advice for which way to lay babies down does change from time to time! From very early days I followed my mother's advice and used a couple of rolled up small towels or blankets as bolster cushions either side of them to stop them rolling, and laid my boys on their sides, alternating which side they were on. It helped to ensure their ears were flat to their heads and they didn't get that flat back of head with bald spot that you tend to see now. I do wonder what archaelogists will make of our remains in years to come when they notice a change in skull shapes!! All I can say is that both of my boys were very good sleepers from quite early on (sleeping through from about 6/7 weeks) and they don't seem to have suffered any ill effects, but if there is any reason medically why you have been advised otherwise, then follow the doctors advice. HTH.

By the way, Jules, thanks for the lead for the France scarf (it was you, wasn't it?) DH has it hanging on the wall and it is #3 in our series of that particular pattern.
But, if I can remember when the baby was a baby, I think the conventional wisdom was to put the child one way, so I did it the other. It was counterintuitive to me to have defenseless baby on their stomach/back. Look it's been 27 years. But, whatever my mother-in-law told me, I did the opposite. It seemed to me that if he was on his back and vomited, he would choke. Or something like that. I put him on his side right away I think. You know me, a rebel without a cause. The side made the most sense to me. Because that's the way I sleep and that's probably the way he slept in utero. He also slept through each and every night.

Oh, BBL, I feel your pain! I'm trying to seriously put on the brakes, as well. No fun, and not easy. :-( DH is so good, and never complains, but I still know when I've been piggish, and it's time to slow down.

In my defense, I was very good in LV. Of course, the stock was very poor at both Hermes stores here, and that helped. :-)

I hope you make it to the F of C. Maybe when I'm home, we can work something out among you, Lala and me. Etoupe, are you still panning on going to the reception? Has anyone gotten their invite, yet? I've been away for a week, and have no clue if one came or not.

You got it? That's fantastic! It's a beautiful scarf! Congratulations! I promise not to tempt you with anymore finds though while you're out of action!
