I think Gucci and Feraggamo make a gorgeous scarf. And, who could forget Pucci?
I love LV shawls and scarves.
ck, lovely male-folk in your house! roses, very good. DH brought me home roses once, and our first dog, Rickie, ate them. Turns out I am allergic to most flowers, so I can only enjoy my roses outside the kitchen window.
It's been quiet around here, no?
Good morning, Mindi, Restricter, Yep, Purse.
DH is coming along vision-wise. Things are getting better. I ordered a XOOM for him. And, it is a hot tablet. Just like my phone. I mean, just like my phone, because it sync'ed directly from my phone, including all it's apps. He loves it. The kindle is going to a friend when he finishes the book, because the interface for the nook on the XOOM is so elegant.
Funny thing about the tablet. I could not use a 10" tablet, which I suppose is the size of an ipad? It's a little too big for my hands to type comfortably or hold to read a book. So, it is his and I will stick with my nook, and it's smaller size.
He is very happy, which makes me happy. I just wish we could get in a car and go drive some place. The little things you take for granted. Yesterday DS called and asked if I wanted to go to Trader Joe's. So he picked me up and I bought him enough food to last him and his housemates and the cat a week. I got potatoes and a half gallon of milk.

Hi, all! I have to go take a shower because it's almost noon here and I am a DISGUSTING couch potato at the moment but I'm popping in to register a question for mistikat. . . misti, I just bought a metal tool chest for my jewelry. Well, for some of my jewelry. It has been bothering me that I have a lot of stuff that goes unworn and unappreciated because it isn't readily accessible, so I am in the process of a major closet restructuring effort. Anyway, back to my question: Any recommendations for what I should use to line the drawers if I intend to put some pieces in without other covering (i.e., no boxes, no bags)? How about that sort of rubbery stuff sold to line kitchen drawers? Or should I seek out acid-free paper? Or? Thanks for your advice!

Hi everyone! I've been around but working a lot and feel tired all the time. Work is for the young. lol I am a couch potato too this morning and in fact went back to bed after I fed the dogs.

CK, Friday night flowers reminds me of my dad. He'd bring my mom flowers and candy for us -- from the candy shop, but kid-type candy. So sweet. Now, my "boys" always give me flowers and I just love it.

BBL, glad your DH is doing well and DS is home and being fed again. LOL. Get him to take you out. I am sure he'd be happy to do it.

Hope all the sick doggies and cats are on the mend. OJB, hope your baby is coming along after the surgery.

BMom, you find the coolest stuff. Love your scarf.

ATG, I've been enjoying your trips and escapades. Take care driving home.

We are having a sunny day and I am forcing myself to go to the park for a walk. Tomorrow we are promised rain.

Hi Avril, Pursey, EB and everyone else!

Morning everyone!

Question: I've been invited to a pizza party with a new friend and people I won't know, can bring PB with me, but here's my dilema:

1. It's almost 45 mins away, at night and I hate driving at night (no depth perception, bad PM vision, etc.), especially with PB in the car with me
2. I don't know the dynamics of this group
3. Not sure how the kids/adults will be interacting
4. I like and respect this person immensly and am flattered at the request and don't want to insult or come off as a flake if I don't go

DH says with all that tojust not go, but it doesn't feel that simple. Part of me wants to go, the other is terified at the prospect. If it was closer to home, it would be a no-brainer...

Thoughts?
