Oooh, and speaking of Narcissism (or mania, or both), I give you Charlie Sheen: 'I'm tired of pretending I'm not special. I'm tired of pretending I'm not a freakin' rock star from Mars." This may be an opportunity to watch a man spiral into psychosis. Stay tuned. (I know it's sad, but it's hard, really hard, to feel sorry for this man.)

Thank you so much for asking, Jules! It is definitely better. Pain is not gone, but there has been clear improvement in intensity, so things are moving in the proper direction. Yay!

He is heading for bottom. In cases like this I feel really sorry for the kids. I hope he gets the help he needs.

I'm back from my hell week at the horse show (which included trying scrub the layer of dust and dirt off myself each night and bathing in a teeny tiny sink every morning :p) and am just checking in with all y'all.

Bingo. His comments are manic and paranoid in flavor, and his behavior (the radio rants, the hooker companions) are also the sort of activities not uncommon in a manic phase.
