Oh, I was just telling DH we needed to send the capt'n photos of the Sr. Captain. Oh, please just go to the Ritz, bill the school, and get better.

:p He would love to see that! My DDad had to have a section of skin cancer removed last year & he had to wear an eye patch for awhile & sent the pix to the kiddo as a fellow pirate! Argh Matey!

[I was grateful to have the eye patch in the house today!:p]

OB, If you remember the old Clairol commercials, and you probably won't, but there was one where the woman was running on the beach and her man saw her and they ran into each other's arms.
One evening, DH and I were picking DS up from daycare, he ran, dramatically, with arms outreached, right at me, and a little to the left right to Daddy's arms. Wow that hurt. And, I still managed to mold that kid enough to be enough of a mensch with most of himself intact.
lilOB will love school. All the badness that she learns from from the other kids, the germs, all of it, will just happen a few years earlier. She will also learn to be a little humbled, because all of the kids are "stars." That's what a headmaster of a school told me once. In the first of what turned out to be a series of a zillion principal-me meetings, when I said to my principal, "But my kid is a star..." and she stopped me and said, "they all are." All 10 of them in the class.

Lol, BBL! I'll have to remember that at my first parent teacher conference (don't say that my child is a star, even though I know she really IS!). Ouch, having DD run to daddy first would really hurt! But Dad generally won't be there at pickup time, so it'll be my smiling mug that she sees after daycare :D

We got that same attitude at our first parent/teacher conference. We didn't claim that our kiddo was any kind of star, but we definitely received the message of "he's not special".

[There is a reason we like this year's teacher quite a bit more.]

Lala, I used to suffer from what I was told was pink eye. It never went away. I was finally referred to Mass Eye and Ear and within five minutes, the doctor diagnosed me with blepheritis, which is like a dandruff of the eyelid. After a run of prednisone for the eye and baby shampoo wash, it went away, never to return.

Ooh, that sounds awful, BBL! Good thing you were finally treated properly.

Mine was a self-diagnosis. I had this as a child & can recall very vividly all the symptoms----actually, when I started feeling the first bits of it, I actually felt transported back to childhood. It's weird to have such child-centric ailments as an adult.

Hey peeps! Back from my celeb studded party ( if u r into animation!) DH was a hit as I told & re-told the surprise story a TON!

Everyone asked if we were going to the Oscars (I wish!). Most of the folks I talked 2 were! Still, DH got lots of back pats when they heard we're heading 2 DL!

Got to get ready for bed! We head out after breakfast!

Hi I am just popping in to give hugs :hugs: and lots of . I hope everyone is happy and doing well.

BBL: Speedy recovery vibes to your DH. ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~

Lala: I hope you feel better soon and may the germs vanish sooner than an Oscar stars wrinkles. .:p ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

ATG! YAY! YAY! AY!Y
I miss you and I am thinking of all but I am not able to catch up. I am constantly studying or working but I am sending good vibes. I got my letter with the job offer yesterday and I got 100% offer. It is so great to have that in wiriting because I couldn't believe it before. Thank you for all he great vibes and the support. I couldn't havne done it with you. :hugs:

Nurse, congratulations on the paper confirmation. How wonderful to know that you will walk directly into a job when you are done with your studies! It must be a fabulous feeling. Mr. BBL thanks you for the vibes. All of you! I let him check himself out in a mirror today. Actually, he didn't want to look at the mirror, but he doesn't look that bad; just really red. It looks much better today.
DS just called. He is on his way back home. On the Mass Turnpike now.

BBL, does your DS know about his dad's surgery yet?
ETA: Hi, purse!

Hi Mindi, Hi Purse!!

We haven't told him yet. There's no point until he's home. He'll call when he gets to his house and he will be exhausted. He's coming here tomorrow. I have tempted him with his dad's slow cooked steel cut oatmeal for breakfast and I'm sure he'll come toting laundry, LOL! I love when he does that.
In case anyone's interested, the oatmeal is cooked in the crockpot and it's a week's worth. That way nobody has to stand over a hot JennAire for an hour;)
How's your mouth today. I kept meaning to talk to you about referred pain. That happens a lot with mouth pain. I do hope you are feeling better.

Hey Bmom! I was thinking of you yesterday! DFi and I went to Bloor St where they were having an ice sculpture contest. Cartier had a panther ice sculpture outside their store which made me think of some of your avatars.

I drooled over some lovely VCA too.

I'm tuned into Oscar now!

Oscar Watch! Who's watching the pre-game?

We're with you, but on ABC. Cooking chicken on the grill and it is pretty darned cold here. It was a gorgeous day today and I checked out my little green grass poking through the dormant turf we laid down before our cruise in November. The pussy willows have their little kitkins (whatever they are) so spring must be coming soon!
Happy Oscars. Will be checking in!
Melissa Leo looks fabulous. She lived in Baltimore when she did Homocide. She looks nothing like her character from back then. She was gritty and dirty looking. She's a great actor, I hope she wins. We have seen nothing from this Oscar year.
