Good morning. Where is everybody this morning?
Looking forward to a trauma/DS filled day. Why oh why was I so sure he was so grown up? Why does he have so many pots in the fire the day he needs to leave? I had to tell him that his DF has to see the Dr today because of an emergency, because that was the exact time he wanted to come over and swap cars. Things aren't working out his way, so he isn't a happy camper. Grrr. I really didn't want to worry him about the doctor. I might even have to drive him home. Not a good day.
Wish me luck.

Good luck, BBL!!! I'll be thinking of you and MrBBL all day.

BBL's DS: time to think more about what your DF needs than what you need, at least today! Sending vibes to BBL and Mr. BBL. . . .

I have to agree with Mindi, BBL. You're stressed enough about DH's eye, let DS worry about his stuff if only for today, he's got friends presumably with cars who can help him out for today. Like his lady friend who has his wallet :D

Thank you all. Actually, usually DS is much more pulled together than this. No apologies for him, though. I was not going to tell him about the eye problems, except he was coming over at the same time as the appointment, so there would be no car. He needs our car because it's a better car for the road (brand new Michelins, GPS, XM, etc.) anyway. He needs to leave for Vermont tonight. Do not ask. This is where the school is. He is spending the night with a friend tonight (yes, a woman, he has one or two in every port, LOL)
He spread himself too thin this week. He'll be here in an hour or so to do the car switch.
We go to the doctor at about 345. The traffic will be awful.
Hopefully the drama will be done. I just got him some snacks, H2O, some treats, his favorite pens, and the iPod charger for the car -- and hopefully he will repay me with a Godard mug.

ATG, OB: Thank you, my sweet friends. :hugs:

BBL: I know it isn't easy and family is stressfull, but I hope eveything will be better soon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi Girls! :sunshine:

Still nursing my poor sick kiddo. He's actually sort of OK until his fever rises. Then, he's scary sick. Fortunately, the fever responds to meds, so he hasn't needed to go to the doctor, yet. (It's most likely some version of the flu, so the doctor wouldn't be able to do anything anyway.)

Sorry about all the drama you're dealing with, BBL! :hugs:

BBL, we know from your posts what a great son DS is and what a great mother you are :hugs: But it is funny how we adult kids can still worry our parents and drive them nuts. Last summer when my dad had surgery, I developed inflammation in my eye; so, not thinking at all, I call up my dad to see if he can get me an appt with his ophthalmologist since I'd be in town. Of course that gave him yet another thing, something I should never have bothered him with, to worry about right before his procedure :push: Sometimes I wonder if I ever grew up :D

Lala, I'm so sorry he's still sick! Those fevers scare me every time.

Thanks OB. They are scary! But, then I just try to remind myself that's the nature of kids----their fevers are generally higher than those in adults.

I'm SOOOOOO PROUD of myself---I managed to coax him to sleep!!!!!!! :woohoo: He's so hard to get to nap & he so desperately needs rest. I turned on really soothing music & gave him his Mummy book & he eventually drifted off. (The book is draped over him like a blanket.:p)
