Hi everyone!!!! :sunshine:

I feel good today. I got out of bed early and felt well-rested and not exhausted for the first time in a few weeks! I had an insane day at the office yesterday. This meeting came up just before lunch and didn't finish til after 2pm which meant by then, the work canteen was closed so I couldn't get any lunch, uuuuuugh. All I had in my bag was an apple to eat (which was supposed to be a snack not a lunch!!) - I had my breakfast before 7am, had the apple at 2pm and that was it, didn't get home til after 6. I was hungry, cranky, stressed and had no energy from the lack of food :sad: So then SO and I decided we'd go out to dinner straight after we got home so we wouldn't have to cook. So I had some yummy caesar salad and fillet steak, mmm. I got into bed at 9pm and fell asleep straight away. Now I feel much better - yesterday I was like a total zombie.:wacko:

OB - the allergy is probably from the pollen, I'd say rather than the cats! And LilOB is just adorable!!!!!!

restricter - so relieved to hear that the biopsy with Winky went ok and he's home now, yay! Enjoy your weekend with Winky and hopefully there'll be good news with the results next week, I have my fingers and toes crossed for you both :hugs:

Whoa. Winky was supposed to be "sedate" after his ordeal. Mr. Sedate woke me up every 2 hours for MORE food. Oy. So I'm up and since I am, I'm on my way to the TSC sale to buy 1 piece of bling for myself. Geez, my head hurts.

restricter, try to relax and enjoy your retail therapy today. Winky sounds like he is feeling great, which is a superb foundation for whatever his future holds.
LilOB is just too dang cute. And that outfit! Love it. Evil Kitty is pretty cute, too, but I wouldn't lean in for a smooch!

Morning to everyone else from a very, very windy (but thankfully not snowy!) Norfolk.
We've brought up 2 of DS2's friends to stay for the weekend as part of his protracted birthday celebrations. They're all currently involved in a massive Nerf battle all around the house; pass the nurofen/advil please!

We took DH out to our favorite restaurant tonight. During the snow week, Baltimore had it's "Restaurant Week." Some restaurants extended their specials. Ours did. No Chat Vibes were needed for that. DS brought his friend with him. One of my surrogate sons. Love him. He told me he was going to Mexico in the summer; I almost plotzed and asked what his mother was going to say about that.
So DS ordered a martini and I suggested that he have Grey Goose. When the drinks came, we toasted DH on his birthday.
Here's where the vibes come in.....

He got into grad school!!!!!
I am one proud mama. He is off to Vermont in a couple of weeks. He is going to be writing a book.

Hi Tesi, we are still waiting to hear where DD is going to go, but if she had her choice, I think it will be UPenn. A close second is Williams, so she will be cold if she goes there.

OB, Those pics of LiOB and evil Kitty are a RIOT!!!! Really, stay warm. But the good news is you can wear your GMs now.

Avril, I have those kinds of days all the time at my office. Does yours have a microwave? I try to keep a can of soup handy, so I am not insanely hungry by the time I get home. Glad you are feeling better today.

I do unconscious shopping all the time. For me it's ebay or online shopping. Tipsy shopping, that's Neimans. Hermes, I like to keep my head on straight.

Good morning.
It's doing something outside and we have to go to pharmacy to pick up some Rx.
Thank you all for your good wishes for DH and DS.
DS has always been a "good catch" for women and schools.
restricter, I hope you have some fun in the city today shopping. The kitties must have driven you nutso for you to leave them today, LOL!
Avril, I hate when there is no food when you expect it. I usually pack some protein bars and water in my bag (or kept in my desk drawer when I was working) for emergencies. Why was the commissary closed, anyway.
ck, I hope Magic is finding her gait again. Poor baby. I had a miniature poodle who would limp for attention. When I started packing to go away to school, he would start to limp. Bless his little heart. He got us every time, no matter which limb it was.
OB, LilOB is some kind of adorable. And, Evil Kitty, certainly fits her moniker.
EB, thanks so much for your kind words. Everybody, thanks so much. I have met many of you, but a lot of you I haven't, but I feel that I know you all.
One day, I think, we should have a great meeting of the minds, if not actual people!

Darn, EB! You called it! Got the amulet I was craving --- in rose gold with diamonds and (hello) the matching earrings. Inventory picked clean in minutes! Women were buying in bulk. Prices were 30, 60 and 70 percent off.

If Winky is up to it, I will let him show you. And you can see his big bald spot. He looks like a poodle grooming gone awry. That feisty little bugger was doing everything the vet said he shouldn't. When I left, he was sound asleep. This was after waking me 3 times for food. God bless that appetite!

OMG, having breakfast in mcdonald's. Skeevy b@stard at next table is belching. I realize this ain't the Four Season's but still...

Sounds stunning. Rose gold, with white diamonds is one of my favorite combos. You so deserve this after what you've been through!!! I hope you got it at 70% off, too.

BTW, I am boycotting McD's after an experience I had on the road with DH. Needless to say the food was horrible and the people scary.
