Hi everyone!

I was stuck in a looong meeting this AM and playing ketchup ever since.

Thank you sooo much for your encouragement, commiseration and words of been-there wisdom. I appreciate it more than you know!

Sounds like I need to channel my inner Tsarina and Attila and ABL and nip this little PB in the butt (err, bud!).

And (I think Mindi will agree) while I cognitively know what should be happening, it doesn't always work out right....so we keep trying!

:hugs: My Peeps!

Hi B-mom,

Our kids know how to push our buttons. Mine loathed to go shopping. I remember a memorable time at Nordstroms, it was on the weekend and we were at the end of a long day shopping to get the kids stuff for sleep-away camp. We had one thing left to get--Teva sandals. My kids aged about 9 and 11 decided it would be funny to race across the sales floor with their legs crossed, walking on their knees. I could have just died.

:lolots: (I'm SURE not funny at the time, but at least it wasn't a full blown on the floor, pounding fist tantrum...). Did ya get the Tevas?:p And I'm pretty sure what they did is a yoga asana I have yet to learn....

And honestly, I'm feeling a bit better about things today (of course, i have yet to go home...) but someone I really admire as being smart, successful and well put-together said he wasn't as dedicated and driven as I want PB to be and he turned out just fine (better than fine, IMHO) so until proven wrong in about an hour, I'm holding fast to y'alls collective wisdom and his words of earlier today.

Bmom, I hope the homeworking goes more smoothly tonight :hugs: You know I have no advice to offer, seeing as how I'm sitting here in the fetal position, shaking in fear of what I'll be dealing with the future (EB, your story sounds like the grown up version of what LilOB does in stores...only she lays on her back and does snow angels or rolls across the sales floor if given the chance...). All I can offer is chocolate and booze:p

I will take it! (and stash some for yourself too, I'm just sayin':p)

thought I'd throw in a little cheese with my whine...

Amytude, welcome to Chat! I was drooling over the vert olive Lindy at HauteGallery; I think a tpfer got it, and I think it was under 4k, so hopefully you can find one. You're strong...usually my desire for another H bag comes every 3-6 months, and I don't always succeed in talking myself out of it!

B'mom-
My mother would tell you that she rec'd more calls from school than she could count. To say that I didn't apply myslef was an understatement. Despite that, I think I did fine. In fact, now all of my rule-breaking behavior is rewarded. Now, instead of "does not follow directions" it is viewed as "innovative and thinking outside the box".

PB sounds very bright. Try not to worry too much.

Thanks CK! You give me hope! What is "runs with scissors" viewed as? Cutting edge ideas?:p
