Yup!

May I add that Chat Peeps & Vibes ROCK? Tonight was lovely, thank you all and I hope it sticks!:yahoo:

So glad your evening went well! Continuing vibes for future success! You can always do what my Mom did to me whenever I gave her any lip; send me to my room with a dramatic "Yes, your life is SOOOOOO hard! You are a martyr for all girls to weep over!" and then she'd put her hand to her head and sigh.

I'd give her heck all the time but, boy do I laugh at the dramz looking back. So glad she pushed me. So sorry for all the grief. So happy to make it up to her now!!

Helloooo, Peeps! HenHen update: we're still fasting him pending one more x-ray later this morning. He's acting just fine.
Mindi update: Picture Marlon Brando as Don Corleone in "The Godfather." That's me post-oral surgery! I'm adorable. The good news--since I can't chew anything, I am pretty much guaranteed to lose weight over the next few days.
Weather update: New winter storm (our third in a month) headed this way!

nurse--Oh, that heating bill. Ouch. On the other hand, sounds like your thesis is going GREAT!
B-Mom, YAY for a peaceful evening and we'll keep the Chat vibes a-comin'.
IL: Willya take care of yourself, please? New rule: no injuries.

Here's an interesting tidbit. Never ever get sick on the train. The conductors have zero training on how to handle a medical emergency. They just asked if anyone is a doctor or EMT because a passenger is having seizures. Scary.

Amytude, welcome to Chat! I was drooling over the vert olive Lindy at HauteGallery; I think a tpfer got it, and I think it was under 4k, so hopefully you can find one. You're strong...usually my desire for another H bag comes every 3-6 months, and I don't always succeed in talking myself out of it!

Oh, it comes often but I'm good at suppressing it. It's not that we can't afford it, it's me justifying it when DS has therapies/materials I could purchase with that money. We run a home ABA program for him and that gets so costly! I think we pay out of pocket the salary of a first year teacher. Plus, Dh is of the variety that thinks anything over $200 is ridiculous for a purse.

Re: the lindy--I saw the one on Haute Gallery. I'm looking for clemence in probably a warm, neutral color (can't do etoupe or any grays/taupes) in a 30cm. Actually going to Vegas on a weekend getaway with DH (for his 40th birthday) next week, so who knows what I might come home with. :graucho:

That wouldn't stop me! I have a liquidizer!!:graucho: I don't think I have ever lost weight through illness, more's the pity!
There's an urban myth in my family about an overweight cousin who went to India for six months, contracted some nasty bug, but when he recovered found he could eat anything without gaining weight. My mum and I have been dreaming of our vacation there ever since, lol!
Mindi, I hope everything settles down quickly and you're not in too much pain.:flowers:

Thanks CK! You give me hope! What is "runs with scissors" viewed as? Cutting edge ideas?:p

DS still runs with scissors. Down the steps.
DS was suspended from middle school three times.
DS and a friend snuck out of school while the principal was watching. They came back and did it again. I got the phone call and went out to find them at DS's girl friend's school. I sent them back to school. DS's friend asked "should we sneak back in?"
DS is one of the kindest young men you will ever want to meet. He is loving and gentle. He just wants to help people. He wants to do the right thing. Most of the time.
If you and PB survive middle school, B'mom, you can survive anything.

One more little tidbit, B'Mom (and any other moms) DS's vice principal was the doler-outer of discipline. We got to be great friends. I spent more time in her office. When she retired we spent a lot of time together and were very friendly. She moved away and we lost touch.
Think of all your future acquaintances. Raising a challenging child can be a very interesting career. My mother always wished me on myself as a child. Well, I know I was never as clever as DS and I never got in trouble like he did. I think DS was a far more interesting child than I ever could have been, mostly because his parents were more pliable than my parents.
Lots o luck
