LOL BBL! You got that right. He can shovel the snow, cut the grass, take out the garbage. Cutting grass is my least fav.

We're not getting a lot of snow and it's been light so it's pretty easy to shovel.

Morning girls! Waiting for the mailman to deliver a cheating bag (it's been in shipment from Europe for over a month) -- a mulberry oversized alexa in grape. I wanted a shoulder bag, that I can toss around when I travel (not my kelly or constance or so kelly). I only have H bags except for my Goyard and Longchamp totes. It's my cheap thrill. lol

EB, just the topics of your meeting vortex made my head spin. But I confess to staying at work until 7 last night too. In the back of my mind, a little voice keeps saying "shouldn't you be looking at that work you brought home?" Oy.

If I hit the lotto I'd retire in a minute. I am so over being fulfilled by my career.

Hey Lulilu!

I hear you. As stressed out as I am sometimes by school, I'd take staying in school over the work world in a heartbeat! I'm dreading my return to the work world.

I'd take a Lottery win too of course. It's one of the only things in Canada that's NOT taxed.

For Bmom: Chain maille weave Jens Pind 3 with "flowers" that are kind of like the trinity rings only much smaller. Gives you an idea what a chain would look like with the Cartier Trinity design. I think a cable chain would look good too and would not involve you going blind and insane trying to weave teeny rings :p

Thin chain about 4mm diameter, using 20g rings; the flowers are 9mm diameter

A much thicker bracelet (6mm diameter) using the same weave but larger and thicker rings (16g); you can see the pattern better

That's awesome OB! I did a similar bracelet with all rosettes. It took forever to join all those guys together! Great idea!

Hi everyone! I just spent the last aaaaages catching up! I was sooooo behind (back at page 80!!) Hope everyone is doing ok :hugs:

BMom - love your akita! Do ya know that Sarah Michelle Gellar has one too, his name is Tyson! He's gorgeous!

Afternoon everyone,

Well DS1 survived his first disco unscathed! Seems to have enjoyed himself but I don't think I'll need to buy a hat just yet, lol!

After picking him up I drove up with the kids to our other place. DH had come directly from "work"; he'd had a big lunch & I don't think he bothered going back to the office! When I phoned to let him know I was on my way he was already asleep, so guess who had to carry two sleeping kids and all our other junk from the car at 1am? I think he owes me!

I must have had a premonition yesterday when I picked up a couple of scarves!! I couldn't make up my mind about them and my SA said I could bring them back so I thought I'd try at home and decide; looks like DH may have made my decision a bit easier!:graucho: BTW, they were Mots de Soie (I think c/w 02) and the giant BdeG in blue. Any opinions welcome!

OB & ATG, fantastic stuff!! :yahoo:Can't believe how talented you ladies are! Feeling v. humble!

Lulilu, you managed to get the Alexa you wanted! Fabulous!

BBL, hope that your DH is feelng better soon.

Restricter, hope your migraine is abating. It does sound like you might be coming down with this bug that is going around; it seems to be truly international! Rest up, & that's an order!

Happy Saturday to everyone, time to throw another log on the fire!

Thanks, Bmom! I'd love to do more, but I'm out of rings and I just can't bring myself to buy silver at $30 an ounce

BBL, I used to make my own rings, but it was a pita and half of them were unusable; so now I pay extra to get premade perfect rings.

I agree, making rings was never worth it to me, I'd always buy premade! BTW, how many rings in an ounce? It might be worth it...:p
