mrsallan, durian in season! hahaha ... another good excuse ;)

Wah, a fresh one straight from the street and then straight away to Pavi for a Hermes looky looky...

I haven't been back since 2005. Not good for the soul but good for my pocket. Managed to control my spending since living here and who knows maybe I'll be able to get the ultimate orange bag soon...

LOL ... cant believe we are united by "durian"

Singapore/KL is probably harder to score one though. But who knows. R u planning to go back soon.

I agreed. I seems out of control if Im in Sydney and be good if Im in Brisbie. Is that even makes any sense though.

Good Luck, mrsallan ;) for sure Orange will come soon ;)

It's hard to say no to a good durian but I hate the smell of it. The taste, it's heavenly.

We plan to go back to Malaysia for holiday when the kiddies will be on their end of the year school holiday. I'm really looking forward to it. Shopping, visiting relatives and of course eating my way through it. I heard shopping scene has changed a lot during the pass few years. I'll be a very happy bunny but I guess my hb will not be too keen.

From 2005? I dunno abt KL. But Singapore itself have Ion and Marina new malls in which also new H store (Marina) and Liat after the flood brand new store will be exciting to visit with. And with strong AUD, anything there sounded slightly cheaper now. Hope it stay for a while.

On durian smell, agreed. There is a few trick after eating it we can do to tone down the heavy leftover. LOL. I just love it. Its my holy grail fruit. LOL.

Wish a happy holiday, mrsallan ;)

mrsallan, the shopping in KL is pretty impressive. KLCC, Pavillon, Star Hill have all the major brands covered.

Megavalley/The Gardens and One Utama is pretty impressive. Sunway Pyramid is fun for
the kids. Still can't go pass Sungei Wang Plaza for all those hidden away stores albeit a little dark and creepy! And Low Yatt for all the electronic things you can think of!

Thank you. There's no place like home, eventhough home is not what it used to be...

When I left Malaysia, there was no Pavillion, Garden n so on. The biggest was KLCC, Mid Valley n 1U. Sunway Pyramid was so near to Subang Jaya where I used to live before and I still have a home there. I used to go to Mid-Valley for lunch with my office mates. Like I said previously, there's still no place like home.

But now that I live in Perth, I wish we have much more nicer shops, like the eastern states. Our trading hrs left much to be desired. It's not that I wanted to shop all the time, but sometimes, knowing that we have something to look forward to will give you a tingling feeling. Things happen really slow here in Perth, really slow :graucho:

That is very comforting to know. Perth is trying to move forward S.L.O.W.L.Y. Prada just opened their store here last January. I hope Hermes and Chanel will follow suit.

mrsallan, once a few luxury houses came in, the rest will follow

for example, in brisbane, once hermes is confirmed open, chanel also followed, so it is only a matter of time ;)

There have been rumours about a Perth Chanel store for a while now - in fact, I had heard one was supposed to open last December :shrugs: At least we are starting to get a trickle of designer houses coming in. H and Chanel would be awesome but I'm not holding my breath...

My wish is for that to happen in my life time. Not getting younger anymore...:p
