Also when the recession began a couple of years ago there was much more inventory. Now as people begin to spend more, a lot less inventory. I have been waiting close to a year now for a 35 black togo kelly retourne. SA says he has not seen one in awhile...

Sorry to be a little bit off topic, but this is so hard for me to understand - I also had been waiting, and I was on a list supposedly, and I walked into the palm beach store on Friday and there sat on the shelf a 35 cm togo kelly retourne in black with phw. The whole thing is so confusing to me.

I was curious

1. How long did it take you to get your Birkin?
2. Did you get it from a Hermes store, from a Ebay seller or from relative/ friend?
3. Did you pay regular price/ more/ less than published prices?

1/2. After visiting the same H store everyday for 1 month. (they probably got sick of seeing me everyday and just wanted to get it over with LOL)

I went to the store in Paris actually ready to buy or order one
fully expecting to be disappointed and got it!
I already have a beach towel, a coin purse, a bracelet and two scarves but it is not clear if this influenced my chances as I only mentioned them. They were all gifts so not actually purchased by me.

Wow, are you ever lucky!! I was told that the wait in Montreal H boutique is 6 months for a colour or 2 years for black...Yikes- HELP!!!!!

I wasn't in the market for a Birkin when I got my first one. (At the time, I thought that all I wanted was 1 Constance and 1 Kelly--silly me.) Anyway, my first Birkin was in the store window when I bought it. I paid the regular store price.

You have a lot of luck then- good for you!!
