I suspect the announced greens might be more prominent in the men’s selection. We’ve seen the wolf scarf as well as some ties in one of the press day pics. Olive and chartreuse did also feature quite a lot in the men’s RTW runway.
PS: are in in London? Just asking to save myself a trip to CP or NBS if they won’t show anything until July. Thanks.
Looking back through all the pictures ( such a big thank you to all contributors there) I see sea-greens in the ladies collection and I think I spotted a dark green background on a Last Night. But I know we are obsessing with very incomplete knowledge - I'll probably find something I really like in blue and I need another blue scarf like I need a hole in the head!
In the UK the rules are clear - the Autumn/Winter season should be sold from 1st July onwards. But I've visited my local boutique on the day and two things usually happen :-
1) they've been so busy they haven't even got the scarves out of the stock room onto the shop floor and I have to - ahem - jolly them along
2) they only have a couple of scarves anyway.

So, although I dip in and out of the shop armed with a shopping list suggested by this forum I don't usually make a buying decision until September or October unless a scarf comes along that I absolutely must have ( Parures des Samurais was the last in this category).

And despite the fact the rules are clear in the UK ( no sales even for ready to wear and haven't been for years) I know that Sloan Street has in the past broken ranks and sold collections a bit earlier than they should strictly have done. I suppose individual shop managers have discretion - the more they can sell the more they can buy next time around.

Nice to read this, as I think if anyone here can make ANY color or design work, it's you! Your pix and outfits are always amazing and thoughtfully composed.
To answer your question - every season I begin thinking "Ugh, these colors are all too IN YOUR FACE and not harmonious, and the designs all look alike and seem computer-generated." Then, you know what happens.......
So true! And, thank you so much for your comment!

Ugh the design is gorgeous but I can’t stand the dots! Whyyyyy do they do this! Thanks for sharing though yodaling [emoji253]

I'm with you there - one day perhaps Hermes will stop tampering with perfectly acceptable designs by plastering polka dots everywhere. A few year's back when it first happened it did look fresh but now after repeating the same tactic for season after season it just feels a bit desperate. Don't get me started on what they did to Chasse en Inde last season! However, I refuse to be beaten and we still have a few designs and many, many colourways to be introduced to :-) I am interested to see the Lettres scarf in colourways other than red, white and blue and patience is definitely a virtue. I know my local boutique in the UK hadn't had any arrive in the stock room last weekend and the SAs are receiving their training on the collection this coming week but it's not uncommon for them just to have 2 or 3 scarves in time for the official start of the season on 1st July. And I'm curious there haven't been many strong greens to view yet - I remember it being mooted as one of the strengths of the season's collection - or maybe my perception of green is a bit idiosyncratic.

Omg. They ruined a beautiful design. These polka dots are horrible. I have a headache looking at it. Can they not tell that this stuff isn’t selling? Enough with the polka dots, Hermes!

And I’ll add: they make very few 140 designs. They screw half of them up like this. Then they conclude that 140s don’t sell. ‍♀️

Exactly!! The dots are distracting and “in the way” of the design.:tdown: I can’t even look at those scarves. They should be used as a brutal psychological torture method.

I agree with others who are disappointed with the numerous dotted scarves- there have been too many remixes over the past few seasons. Mythiques Phoenix is such a gorgeous design, but the negative space in the coloriages version diminishes its beauty, IMO.

That being said, we have seen some lovely things, thanks to yodaling1 :flowers: so my wish list has begun!

Please please, no more polka dots and wallpaper on the classic designs. We would go nuts if the classics were just left as is with some fun new color ways. I’m a huge 140cm fan and am gutted when I see the darn polka dots.

Agree with you all!!! This was a bummer just like the “wallpaper” treatment to the Pegase 140.

The Mythiques Phoenix reissue May be a winner. I’ve also got my eye on The Sonic Hermes scarf and Awoooo.

I don't *think* I have ever purchased a scarf primarily because it tied beautifully. I think that's an added bonus if the design resonates with me. But ATM I've only had half a cup of coffee......

Edit: As @EmileH said - too many fish in the sea. It's not like we have only 25 HS to work with, LOL! Don't compromise.
Interesting discussion! As a "wearer" rather than a "collector", how the scarf ties is primary to me. I'm open to nearly any subject matter, although I must admit to sensitivity about guns and deceased creatures. I don't think I'll ever own a Chasse en Inde, for example, even though it is very beautiful.

I'm not opposed to polka dots but the overall effect on the Tropiques seem very busy (perhaps it might read different IRL due to the scale of the 140's?). I love the colors of the green and gray one. I'd like to see it in person ...

Yes Langsam everyone is very individual about what they will buy - I have to confess that, like I suspect a lot of people on this forum, I overthink my choices but then I have limited resources and I can't buy lots and then offload them elsewhere later on. 'Choose wisely choose once' is a good mixim! Guns are alien to me too but I have no problem with Chasse en Inde but I wouldn't touch Peuple du Vent because it featured a captive bear. Make your own decisions for your own best reasons and you'll rarely go wrong for such a minor matter as choosing a scarf.

I like Chasse en Inde because although the animals are being hunted, that poor hunter reminds me of Elmer Fudd. He’s just running all over the scarf, but he’ll never catch up with the any of the animals!!

“Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits". :P

If you look carefully it also looks like the tiger is biting him in the butt! [emoji23]

I wish we had one of those vacuum capsule systems where we could stuff a capsule with a long-ass signed petition saying “no more polka dots or funky wallpaper” or “Just say no to lazy treatments on classic designs!” and whoosh it up directly to the H gods. At the very least it would be satisfying to watch the capsule zoom through the tubes...

I would definitely sigh this petition. But I suppose my wallet is safer under the current circumstances.
