Hi @storytotell - I have a few pics for you.Would anyone have a picture of a 41mm watch and a new 42mm leather band?
Hermes website officially says the 42mm straps will work for a 41 mm watch, but I am worried there will be some visible gaps.
You can match this band with any stainless steel Apple Watch case (Series 10 or previous versions). The 42 mm band works with the 40 mm, 41 mm or 42 mm cases (Series 10).
Thanks a lot for these details! I have a 41 mm Milanese loop and was hoping to switch to a leather band, which is 42mm. Was worried there was going to be a visible gap when you attache different straps.Hi @storytotell - I have a few pics for you.
Here is my 41mm H series 9 Apple Watch. I have a 41 H leather band in the top slot, and a 42 mm Milanese loop from Apple in the bottom slot, (all the magnetic connectors are the same size whether leather or other materials, H or Apple bands).
As you can see they both fit perfectly. I bought a series 10 regular AppleWatch, and it looks exactly the same with both bands (no pics included). So there are no visible gaps in any combo (ps I have some old 38mm bands and they fit perfectly on a 41 or a 42 watch too). HTH!

No, you should be just fine. Apple has been amazing at making the actual watch bigger, and going from a 38mm start way back to now 42mm and all the connector pieces are exactly the same. Thank goodness, many of us have collected lots of H leather and other bands. Hope to see your leather band when you get it!!Thanks a lot for these details! Welcome to the Hermes AW world. Enjoy the etoupe band first before getting the Grand H.I tried on the Grand H and it felt kinda heavy to me do so I got a leather band in Etoupe. But it’s still in the back of my mind because it’s such a beauty. But this is my first Hermes Edition Apple Watch and I am over the moon. I said I was going to trade in my old series 5 but I think I’ll keep it as a back up for swimming maybe.
Oh @DrTr! Thanks so much for your wise words! I am finally moving on from my one & only apple H watch from series 4 to 10, only because 3G is shutting down in AU. I have amassed a few H leather bands that I am now happy to know that I can still use, thanks to youNo, you should be just fine. How exciting to get your first H AppleWatch!! It sounds lovely with your etoupe strap. I was curious how heavy the grand H band was, you confirmed my worry, though like you I love it too. Seems like you might end up with it at some point even so.I tried on the Grand H and it felt kinda heavy to me do so I got a leather band in Etoupe. Thanks so much @gagabag - I always appreciate pics and measurements and help from other tpf folks. Glad I could return the favor.Oh @DrTr! Thanks so much for your wise words! Anyone has used Kilim ST? I am eyeing it in colour beton but I am not sure if the rubber is comfy or will it catch lint or hair![]()
The Killim is my fav Hermes Apple band. I have it in two colors and wish they would make more (I'd buy the current blue and green in a heart beat if they didnt genderize the sizes and think that women don't want "masculine" dark colors). Its very comfy and doesnt feel like rubber and the deployment buckle keeps the sizing consistent, whereas I feel the leather bands eventually stretch a bit. Its also waterproof so I dont have to worry about it when washing hands etc.Oh @DrTr! Thanks so much for your wise words! I’m with you - I really dislike gendered color or style or size of AppleWatch H versions too - all of us can like any color or style we wish, and there have been a few versions that only came in a large size that I wanted but were too big for me. Sorry they haven’t made more Kilim’s in your size in colors you wanted (I also don’t like that they gender their men’s 100 cashmere’s and other items (LV does a much better job at not being so old school in genderizing) - I love some of those prints but don’t want all neutral, but that is for another thread). The Killim is my fav Hermes Apple band. I do have a kilim band in a dark blue (forget the cw name) and it is comfortable. No it doesn’t catch lint or hairand I have longish hair and a German shedder (shepherd) dog so I would know if it was a hair catcher! It’s a nice band that is different from most. I saw a blue Celeste Kilim and loved it this year, but I’m not as much a fan of the deployment buckle. It works great, but I find it less convenient for some reason.
But I just saw the series 10 H with a Beton Kilim band and a beton H face and it is gorgeous!! Let us know what you decide. Good to see you here!🌸

Yes I definitely decided to keep it.Welcome to the Hermes AW world. Enjoy the etoupe band first before getting the Grand H.
I would keep the Series 5 since the trade in value isn't much.
