Apologies if this is the wrong place for this, but I saw some previous discussion of the AirPod case and didn’t want to start a separate thread if it wasn’t necessary!

I hadn’t thought I’d be the type of person who’d consider spending USD 1k+ on a tech case (since form factors change pretty quickly), but life takes you to unexpected places and I’m actually thinking about the H AirPod case. For the past 5 years I’ve had a BV rubber case and I’ve particularly loved the lanyard for locating my AirPods and fishing them out of my capacious work tote. But the rubber is starting to tear and it’s time for a replacement…

“Is this worth it to you?” is one of the most subjective questions out there, but as I’m trying to answer it for myself I’d love to know if anyone has the case and what they think of it!

I don't have one, and I wouldn't spend 1K on a tech case. I would spend money on Hermes Apple Watch bands, but not a tech case.

Worth is such a subjective thing as you mention. You obviously enjoy the functionality of such an object and if you can afford to buy one, why not. On the other hand, what happens when they change AirPod models it doesn’t fit the current one?

Personally, if it’s something I will use a lot of and I can afford it, I’ll get it even if you can get a basic one for $10. I mean we can all get a leather tote for $30, yet here we are buying Birkins for $15000.

It's rumored that Apple may release the Air Pro 3 in 2025 according to Bloomberg - "It won't announce the AirPods Pro 3 until 2025, says Mark Gurman, a noted Apple analyst and the report's author." from the article.

So I’m about to try something new and I’ll update in the future. I decided to get an Apple Watch Ultra so I’ll be selling my Hermés watch and extra bands since the 44/45mm not the 41/42mm fit the Apple Watch Ultra minus a 1mm smaller fit.

I love the Celeste Toile band but does anyone have experience punching holes in the toile? I don’t expect it will fit me immediately since it says 6.1” wrist is the smallest it goes. Otherwise I might wait for the fall color updates or get a basic color. I’m sad the double tour is only in the 41/42mm size. It always fit so nice.

Hello, I'm curious if anyone has used a Hermès strap with a regular Apple Watch. I have a Series 8 with a 41mm black aluminum case. I'm thinking of buying a double tour leather strap. Should I buy a new Apple Hermès when the current technology becomes outdated?

We are only a month and a half away from the announcement of the Apple Watch 10 (X) which is expected to be a complete remodel. Highly recommend waiting for that model rather than sinking your money in now.

I personally don't care for the look of the aluminum watch models with Hermes straps, which are stainless steel for metal bits but many people do it. You don't need to upgrade to the Hermes version but I would go with the stainless steel models in the future for sleekest match, imo.

Do you happen to know if the Hermes version is available right after release or does it take a while to trickle into the boutique? Thank you!
I think right away because a lot of the leather bands you can only get at Hermes. They don't sell them at Apple anymore. I was eyeing the Rose Azalee band and you can only get them at Hermes.

Like posted above, wait until September for all new releases.

It's Hermes so it can be slow to roll into the stores. Usually within release week it will show up to stores that carry it, though online it should be available to order on release day (if not even pre-order the week before, but again H fulfillment is on its own lax timeline). I've had to wait over a week before it showed up to where my SA could order it for me in prior years. It also seems to me that fewer physical Hermes stores are carrying the Apple line, in favor of using the limited floor space for other product categories, namely the ever expanding beauty category. I know of at least two stores that have removed it within the past year.

For those of you with the black SS, has it scratched at all? I have a series 6 and it’s losing battery lift pretty quickly. Thinking of going with the black when the 10 comes out and was curious about durability vs the regular SS. My series 6 still looks brand new.

My Apple watch with the toile H band.
I wear it every day, have sold my Chopard happy dismonds watch and the Cartier watch too.
I don‘t like no more so much diamonds and prefer more discreet jewelry (I‘m an older lady now😊). So I like the silver jewelry from Hermes too!
