If I remember correctly, every year Hermès products are in stock for a short amount of months in the beginning of the year and then sends them directly to customers
I’m an employee and what I know is just my personal experience as a customer here in Italy, so for example in early 2023 we had some watches from February to May-June available to buy directly from the store as you could see from the website or app itself, but now they are just available online, and even if we don’t know a thing about future releases, I strongly doubt (and don’t hope) that Apple and Hermès are splitting! I remember the same scheme since the first release in 2015, and every year I’m here waiting for the next Hermès news!
I hope this partnership lasts as long as possible

The Hermes Watch is currently available when I looked on the Apple store app just now. I bought my first one via the app and if I remember correctly, it was delivered either overnight (or maybe it arrived in two days?) which was nice. Now I just order them from Hermes directly and pick them up in the boutique. And I really, really hope they never end their partnership!
Apple just announced its date for their next keynote event: September 12th. This is usually the event for new iPhones and Apple Watches. Fingers crossed!
Rumors are that there is little to no functionality change for Apple Watch 9. The next watch after this, series ten, is supposedly going to get a huge push as Apple Watch X with a full size/shape/form factor overhaul and will make previous straps incompatible. For that reason, I am selfishly hoping there are no bands this time that I like and that I would be tempted to buy, with only a one year use life.
If rumors are true there is at least a new processor. That would be the first since S6. It probably also helps with battery life. But at this point, all is going to be fine with me as long as there is a Hermes version at all

I doubt that when new models come they will change the connectors. People have made _significant_ investments in straps and a huge backlash would follow. Me too! I haven't upgraded in three years so plan to do so this year and to buy another strap or two to round out my collection.I heard the same. I hope you are right! But Apple over the years has decided to change connectors, chargers and many things that rendered older pieces defunct, sparked a huge backlash, and then people moved on. It seems the only way they get any additional room in their watches for function upgrade now is at the connector spots. My guess is if they do it they will give us warning but it wouldn’t surprise me. At this point I have plenty of H bands, and don’t mind keeping the 9 if that’s what fits. Either way still looking forward to 9/12.
