My cousin was in Seoul 2 weeks ago. She was in the big duty free store (forget the name) and she walk in and buy $10k of non-leather stuff (some canvas bag, scarves and a bangle i believed) and she asked the SA if they have a birkin, they said yes and asked her to buy another $10k of non-leather stuff. that's like 2:1 spending for a birkin. She ended up spending 20k of non-leather products and get a 30 togo birkin.
Wow that mark-up you can easily get any combo of B from resellers, not to mention the SA asked for the extra spending??! wow...(let me go put my jaw together...)
Well the bright side is the 30 togo B to drew on![]()
I have a crazy question: are the H goods more expensive in Seoul vs the US? My ex told me that luxury goods are usually triple the price in Seoul.

Triple? I remember not at all. Last time (Dec 2013) I visited H store in Seoul, the price of a Lindy 34 cm was 7700000 won ( appox 54000hkd) which is slightly higher than buying in HK. Yup, it would be more expensive than US, but I don't think as high as "triple". Hope this helps![]()
Hmm thanks all. I guess he was just exaggeratingI was just there in December. The taxed prices are more expensive than in the US, but definitely not tripled. The tax-free prices were mostly about the same as the US prices with tax in my area, where tax is almost 10%. Not great deals, then, but the boutiques I visited had lots of stock in the scarf departments.
